If a UA is in space and no CMDR is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
I suppose testing when the UA is near one body while the ship is near another is next to impossible.
Winning right there.

I think we just had a "general hint", by Michael Brookes, at least about the SAP8 if not the UA
Do you remember The Dark Wheel and Raxxla? We've talked about it some days ago...

The UA knows the name of the planet, even if the ship does not know.
I have not looked at the dates scientifically, but anecdotally, there seems to be 1 UA for each medical CG (generally). Whether this means 1 per CG, 1 per Outbreak (latest is 1 Outbreak with 3 CGs) I am not so sure. I was of the opinion that each was specific, and once destroyed could not be replaced, but I am currently not quite so sure on that, they may be available to respawn once destroyed.
As the number of available UA increases, I would be happy to accept that the chance of finding one also increases.

I am not suggesting that us finding a UA causes an outbreak, but that an new UA is only available to spawn after an outbreak occurs. Note the total lack of any UA sightings after 1.3 dropped, until they reintroduced CGs, and 1 was found almost immediately. Also that once the latest outbreak occurred, several were discovered within 48 hours. In between, no reported sightings. If the UA is link to outbreak that would explain why they are so exceedingly rare, the last thing Frontier would what is thousands of outbreaks, which would happen if they were common. -
Remember that SAP8 was added before the Morse was discovered. The fact that the Morse was discovered without the help of SAP8 is not FDs fault. It only shows that the new stuf is there to help us.
I will try to convince you of the Leviathan connection as well.

Does it make a sound? Probably not.
When I get one, I will just sell it to Leonard Nimoy station, that is the only real clue I can see. I will laugh when people have worked so hard on the morse code and it turns out to be as simple as just turn it in. (If someone has already sold one to that station please do tell.)
I'm not really sure why these medical outbreak CGs are being associated with the UA?
The Systems in question (20 OPHIUCHI, DAJOAR, ELEU) haven't had UA Spawns, nor have they been taken there AFAIK (not before the CG anyway)?
I mean, if FD wanted to give us a clue of a connection, surely they'd pick one of the several systems we HAVE taken it to? Sorry, I might be missing something, but I'm not buying it, and if it IS a clue is a rubbish one. There's no more a tangible link to them than there is to Thargoids? What am I missing?
The Au clair de la Lune (By the light of the moon) is a nice idea, I can hear similarity in the Flute interpretation, but not in the original 'isolated' recording (but I can hear the morseyness). Again, sorry, not buying that one either for the same reason. It would have to be clearer than that to actually be recognisably Au clair de la Lune; there are certainly other tunes that are also similar enough to be, well, similar e.g. Moon river, blue moon, dark side of the moon. There's surely no connection.
No objection to trying it out of course, at least its not destructive and its another place off the list. Only a few hundred billion left, we'll get there in the end.
