About the fight, the clipper took his shields off but I did almost all of the hull damage. And he got his shields back twice. I used a bit of dodge and weave and some silent running to stay alive while using fixed bursts to kill him through chaff at range. No, he wasn't the best pilot, and if he'd have just actually fought me instead of panicking he would have survived/ killed me. It was just inexperience that led to his death.

But I knew that would be the case before I opened fire.

He got his shields back..... twice.... in one fight? That sounds suspicious. All of that, what you can believe of it, doesn't take away your opportunistic behavior. I would suggest that some of your most weaselly behavior was the kill stealing. That is just griefing and you happily partook. But, gloating has to be the most tasteless of your activities with respect to this thread.

I have had thoughts of doing such things. Buying a Viper and tank build it, stick on my Canadian Flag Paintjob, Fly over to Erevate and seal club Sideys and like a polite Canadian say Sorry after every kill. But I keep that evil in check and trade with my Python in Open most of the time.

Diamondback Scout, you say? Perhaps we ought to meet up in some system to "discuss" this. I'll be in the A-rated Anaconda...

Good luck catching him, or hitting him when you do ;) With a good loadout and pilot the Scout is a lot more capable than people are giving it credit for. Poking Vultures is always fun anyway.

Also... this isn't very anonymous...

I like to strip cargo holds bare, even if it means i can collect no cargo at all. I also like murdering clean NPCs, local heroes and friendly governors.

Well, he got them back once before he left the hi-res so I guess they were about 60% in the first interdiction fight. Then he got them back at a really low level before the second interdiction fight, maybe 10-20%. The first interdiction fight he turned on me for like 10 seconds and instantly downed my shields and dealt hull damage, forcing me to evade and go silent for a second, at which point he ran (for some reason).

We must have different definitions of gloating. I killed this guy and was affected by it; it made me thoughtful and I decided to see if anyone else does evil things for no reason by posting here. I didn't say I had "teh 1337 skillzzors" or anything, I just tried to tell the events as they happened. But if that's gloating in your book, fair play.

Hi everyone. My name is Guidebot and I'm an evil cmdr.

I was out in my Diamondback Scout in a HIRES when I saw a player Vulture on the scanner. Before I knew what I was doing I was tailing him and stealing his kills at the last second. Then he lost shields in a fight with a clipper, so I rammed his Vulture pretty hard. He charged supercruise and left... but I followed him. And interdicted him. Twice. And destroyed him.

I don't know why I do these things but from time to time I just murder people.

Does anyone else randomly perform inexplicable acts of evil?

Oh they're perfectly explicable.

You're still a bad man and should put yourself into a Sidey for a day or two as a penance. I mean, players randomly shooting other players in a game like this, is just appalling behaviour!

Ok, before this turns into another open v solo.....
I have not flown the Scout or the Vulture, so am I wrong in thinking, someone in a Scout poking someone in a Vulture, takes a little bit of nerve? Yes or no?

A guy in a shieldless stealth build DB scout took out my A rated Python today, leaving me with my drives down, canopy smashed and 15% hull. He let me live when I congratulated him on his victory. Just goes to show a good pilot can beat a bad pilot regardless of ship. Would like to say I gave him a good fight, but I doubt I lasted 60 seconds in all honesty :(

And, how would you like to justify the kill stealing?

So what your saying is this:
If I see you in your Diamondback Scout and I am in my Python, what I should do is blow out your drives then I should blow your life support - park behind you to mass lock you and give you whatever time your life support has for you to think about the error of your ways. A-Rated you say, its ok I have an hour to donate.

You have no idea of what evil is young grasshopper.

He is just bad. Some deep seated evil and he can't help himself. Therefore, no justification required.

I can live with that. I wouldn't expect a mia culpa post then. It's all in good fun. What happens in Elite, stays in Elite. I'm just pointing out some hypocrisy in his post. For fun.....

Sometimes when I'm bored I'm killing federals just for fun... With only one rule "do not attack freewinders".

Blaze your own trail. Well played! Be careful if you see him again, he may not be so inexperienced the next time you meet.

And, how would you like to justify the kill stealing?

Because I like space cash? And I'd rather I have it than him. *thinks...* ... Yes, Final answer.

Honestly though, I think this question highlights a core difference between us (and that's not a bad thing). You see, to me that's just a question I would never ask. Justify? Justify? I had to think for a while, but my best conclusion is that you perceive a code of principles governing conduct, that classifies behavior into right and wrong, or perhaps good and bad, the latter redeemable via justification. That's what you've used to judge my conduct (I guess).

I see only what I can and can't do. The principles governing my conduct are the laws of the game; I act in my best interests therein.

This is quite enlightening for me. I'm starting to see why I do these things. Thank you.

Evil, begets evil.
