I've never tried Turreted weapons yet, so just wondering what others think of the latest incarnation on a Python and Anaconda, I normally use Gimballed.
If you can fly a Python with flight assist off in combat, then fixed/gimbaled will be quicker to kill most ships. If not then turrets on the top two hard points. As for the Anaconda no idea, I don't have it yet
The rest i always run gimballed because im lazy
I've actually seen a Python with turrets defeat a Python with gimbals because he simply had so much more time on target during the turns.
It certainly requires much more flying to stay outside your enemies sights while your guns are still shooting.
Don't buy into the whole 'gimballed are lazy, fixed are for pros' rubbish. They both have pros and cons.

That's a fair point, although also a pilot error. If he was being outgunned in the turns due to turrets he should have stopped playing the other guy's game.
Gimballed have merit. If some one chaffs, simply un-target them and used them like they are fixed weapons. People crap their pants once they figure out you can do that. Then chaffs are easy to destroy when you system snipe them. When mixed proper with fixed, it is IMHO better than all fixed or all gimballed.

Thank you, I did not realise that, I run two fixed beams for shield burning and switch to them from gimbled bursts when chaffed, will give that a try next time out.
