My copy of ED runs fine, actually runs a bit smoother after upgrading to 10 and updating video drivers.
Just to deliver a pointless and opposing answer to your pointless post. However, if you want to a constructive answer, I could ask: Did you remove all game files before reinstalling?

my launcher just crashes too so I renistalled using steam (I never bothered reinstalling it after getting a steam key so it was still in original place) and it works fine, but if I create a desktop shortcut straight to the launcher it won't work
Make sure that you are set to run as administrator.
Running games outside steam seems to be a crap shoot now..
Just point your browser to Saitek's official FTP and find yours. I suggest you to use for your Pro the same scheme as for the vanilla X52: old 6.x driver and 7.0.17.2 software, after removing all the voices I mentioned in my previous post in device manager.

Using 15.7.1 win10 x64 on my 290x and I look forward to your result. I'm great in normal space but out at light speed, the vidcard clocks drop to idle speeds and fps drops to 7fps. This is even on lowest graphic setting. Was previously always getting 60ish on ultra with 5760x1080 eyefinity.:S

Those are the versions I'm using and I lose mouse control of Win 10 every time I unplug the X55.
installed W10 on my surface 3 pro and works without any issues W10 as well as ED. Actually the fps seem to have increased (srtg+F). In the main screen with 1280x768 and everything set to low it gives 40 fps. game doesn't look brilliant but I can play when not at home while traveling.

Some people must be really unlucky.
Iv updated to W10 on my mediocre HP Pavillion AMD A8 - with Radeon A5 graphics.
Only thing that didn't work was Spybot S&D - W10 took it off completely, but I reinstalled it with the latest download.
As far as Elite goes, I occasionally get the program wanting to send an 'error report' after iv saved & exited the game. But as iv finished the session & 'exited the game' I can live with that.

It is an astonishing state of affairs if this sort of thing is required to simply run a game. Mind you, I've worked with enough third party vendors who try to insist their crappy little application requires use of the 'sa' account in SQL Server to realise that 'lazy' and 'stupid' are common bedfellows.
Did you remove and reinstall gfx card drivers? That's the only thing I did.
Ironically, the only programme that doesn't seem to work for me with 10 is the AMD Raptr app, which can no longer 'optimise' anything.

Thats a bit harsh isnt it, an Amiga 1200 with workbench would at least allow internet browsing using HTML
Would like to remind you that Windows 10 is not officially supported and no, no matter how tempting, it is not same Windows.
It works well for me, after updating my graphics card drivers as well. One thing that is a bit odd is that it says it is using my integrated graphics card when it is clearly using my 970.
I did have to explicitly tell ED to run with my 970 though, like I did when I first installed it.
