can you try to see though if it still works if done a second or more before it's fully charged? I don't know if I'll get it on my first try and it instead then does stop the jump.

K will check - also going to pick up some canisters - make sure they don't fall out :)

Thanks for that, thought i was going mad. So what do you think of the theory (with edit)

If you want to communicate via notes with the UA, I think there is a better solution than typing in the chat.

A while ago I noticed that the discovery scanner gives of a note in the beginning of the charging sequence. At first I thought this was a random note. Then I did some testing and noticed that the different notes seem to be in a recurring underlying pattern. If you fire (not a full charge up just a press of the fire button) the scanner multiple times in a row with the correct identical interval (around 1 second) you will always hear the same note.

This means the notes of the discovery scanner are not random, they are in an ordered loop with a specific cycle time. So if you find the sequence of notes and the cycle time you could pick and choose your message =)

I have not tested this thoroughly since I didn't think it was important. But now I read that the UA also gives of a HONK noice and notes similar to the discovery scanner. So if you want to communicate with it, use the same language! =)

Good work...another one down :)

Man are we up against the clock now :(

bummer ! Im still holding out hope that there is a way to make our ships misjump tho

I got something that may help in the background......just hope that my current english skills in writting are good enough for being seen......and that I put in the right information...also for that test it helped a lot that the possiblity of losing the UA was eliminated by adding cargo to simulacre's test and the fact that failing with the timing didn't matter really which was good as I thought that I missed it and was about to press the boost button.

However I should add that in waiting for windows 10 to get around to deciding to install on my computer I've had it on for a few days and it effected the sound and video with my stream so....beware that my computer may have problems in the future as the download icon for windows 10 dissapered on launch day....and I don't want that to happen again.

Well we'll know when it unlocks as I get the feeling it'll make galnet news......

Also guys which systems have we heard the UA give off 3 purrs at?

Write "Them" in the search it was something like Themcyres. Sorry if tis already answered!

That's one but I know there's more than that......

Sleipnir maybe?

Edit: Wiki speaks only about these two having the 3-purrs. On the other hand it wasnt updated with the new Aug 2 hint either.

Edit2:
"Succed or not" -> We CAN succeed.
SS1 had a power-plant failure resulting in the thursters going crazy. "Internal drive systems" could be the power-plant, so it might be one of the common things in the two cases!

The wiki doesn't have all the 3 purr tests and it is one and a special one right maybe? But it does have links to youtube videos of tests which may have 3 purrs in them....thing is....I've done an all nighter from trying to get that background thing happening and it's not effecting me badly as my balance feels like it's going.....sleep....

Get a good night's sleep. We need you with 120% efficiency. We also need a power plant at 120% efficiency before we jump away.

Edit:
There's that type of SSS where they drop the UA right in your face. Can you follow the T9 which dropped the UA?

Edit 2: If a UA holder is up to some "broken-module" jump test I'd gladly help. Whichever job you want me to do, I'll do it.

Is the UA a coffin?

I've been thinking again (can't help it, sorry):

In the Antares article on Galnet there is once again mention of the Grave yard of lost ships.

The legedary graveyard is suposed to be in Tionisla. No one has found it.

Kerrashs latest hint points to a location. If it does not succeed (scann what it's looking for), it will not unlock.

I think perhaps the UA wants to go there as well.
The UA looks to be made partly of animal bits. On the head it's two almost symetrical parts. It seems to be made of two creatures.

Two creatures found in a box in Deep Space reminds me a lot of these articles from FFE:

ALIEN ARTEFACT FOUND IN DEEP SPACE.
T.G.

A scout class Federation ship, patrolling the outermost frontiers of the Olvebe system has just found a mystery capsule floating in space. The capsule is said to contain the perfectly preserved remains of two humanoids, dressed in alien garments. The Naval commander describes the couple as the most perfect specimens of Human kind he has ever seen. The man and woman are suspected as being clones, as they lack belly-buttons and are too perfectly formed.

Primary tests have established that one of the pair was already dead when placed in the capsule, whilst the other was apparently alive. The alien capsule of unknown date and origin is not equipped with life support or engines, and at present, little else is known. The bodies are being shipped to Eta Cassiopea for further study.

ROMEO AND JULIET FOUND IN SPACE !!
T.G.

Would you Adam and Eve it, a pair of love struck stunners have been found by Federation scouts near the Olvebe system. The scantily clad pair were found locked in a macabre embrace when their alien capsule was opened. Our sources report that tests carried out have proved that only one of the pair was dead when the capsule was launched and that the other apparently chose to be hurtled into the void with their corpse-like lover.

They say that the bonds of love are strong, but these two must have been glued together by epoxoplasm!

You too could win a luxury cruise around the Olvebe system with a partner of your choice. Relive the romance of the doomed couple in our Raceaway RIG competition. Stay tuned.

Maybe we need to take a real close look at the Tionisla system?

Thinking is good. New ideas are good. But testing and hard work are even better atm. If you have a UA you could run that test, right?

I don't have one. Not a lot of us do. It's not possible for the few guys that have one to test everything.

I will be heading to Tionisla tonight, to see if I can spot something out of the ordinary.
