Has their orientation in space been looked at? Is it perhaps possible that they point at something? When jettisoned, is their attitude random, or is there a discernible pattern to it? Frontier keeps hinting that we're missing something obvious...

Well, Voyager 1 and 2 were in the game, with audio, until they disappeared recently. And it has not been acknowledged as a bug by FD. If that is not hitting us over the head with a hint, I am not sure what qualifies.

SInce UA's were introduced with Wings, perhaps 4 is the magic number. 4 UAs + 4 cmdrs in a wing been tried yet?
Also, a new subreddit has just been opened for any reddit-based cmdrs wanting to co-operate : https://www.reddit.com/r/unknownartifact
Last post for tonight
Credit to Nicholas Powell for setting up operation Biscuit Barrel
Credit to Cmd Obone4888 for engaging the Conda in an ASP to draw it away !
Credit to me for dropping the shields on the T9 then killing one of the Condas to keep it distracted
Credit to Cmd Monkey D Luffy for popping the hatch and bagging the UA
And Credit to Keijo for assisting in the search.
True team effort real adrenalin rush ! Well done one n all
Fly Safe commanders...
PS getting scanned on the way into a station carrying a UA gets you a 168k fine !!! Tut
I thought the Voyage 1 & 2 "Disappearance" was a result of the change in detection distance of static objects in SC, and that they are still there just needle in haystack
Has anyone tried dropping the UA where one of the Voyagers should be? Also, I had a dream last night involving the UA, we had to shoot it to open a portal and it then appeared on galnet >_>
Seems pretty important here... ;-)
Sell an UA in Abraham Lincoln at SOL?
Why? and 8 chars
SOL only system I know with whales and dolphins, also Voyager comes from SOL, the "fishy" references from FD, and lastly afaik hasn't been tried. Was at Bast searching, if found one, would have sold at SOL...

But you could say that about any of the stations at Sol. How do we know Abraham Lincoln is the one? Without solid evidence for a test, given how rare these things are, I would strongly recommend to UA holders not to do destructive testing or sales unless they have some evidence to indicate that is the way forward. Each UA holder of course can make up their own mind on such things, but it seems like a slim link to me. There is lots of evidence for whales elsewhere in the FFE journals lore for example. ;-)
So, like, this might be inspired. Off the first of those two links, 'The Music of the Spheres' does sound quite a bit like some of the background noise that's often quite loud in many UA recordings?
Also, listen to the 'Morse Code, Ships' link - that ship's horn does sound like it could be slowed down to make the purrs.
And of the elephant sounds in 'Birds, Hyena, Elephant', one or two could be similar to the honk.
I even think the Morse is a similar speed to the Morse we get from the UA.
It's all loose-fitting, like MC Hammer's trousers, but... Just, well, it's possible...
LordZoltan and others, I've already deeply listened to the whole Golden Disc in the same time I discovered Leonard Nimoy Whale Song, some time ago.
Yes I found some 'coincidences' in the various sounds, but nothing decisive at that time. If you remember I've pointed out the fact that the Thargs could have found the Probes, and tried to send us a reply using the same 'language'. But then?
