I have no problems with the players, I have fun with everyone.

I have trouble with the game modes, not with people.

That part you do not understand ?.

Because all take it so personal ?.

This is rare.

Some people like the core game features that Frontier have included in the game from the outset, namely: three game modes (Solo, Private Groups, Open); single shared galaxy state between all modes (and now all platforms); the ability to switch game modes on a session by session basis.

Therefore, to seek to remove or amend any of these core features or to give a bonus for playing in one of the three modes causes a reaction from those players.

Some people are jerks on the Internet. I'm not going to argue that, it's very much true. That said, the game isn't supposed to be a friendly walk in the park, it's a game of dodgeball. The npcs try to hit you with dodgeballs all the time, they're just really bad at it.

I suppose players are more like this :D

Anyway better im not say anything else in this thread.
You can not argue with people who feel attacked all the time, only to have a contrary opinion.

Sorry if I misspoke at some point, im dont speak English well, just I wanted to give my opinion.

But as I see only a few coments are properly refuted.

No longer serves further discussion because the conversation was distorted.

I keep reading previous post, they were interesting on this subject.

I did not want to disturb.

Greetings to all and see you in open play.

P.D Phazon Aran: I want to play with you but please do it in open.
Because in solomode is complicated. XD

My old school pub changed names years ago when it got sold to a chain - now the chain has sold it off for flats even though it was functioning well still - just like another chain did with another local that was always busy.

Firkin bar stewards!
Your school had a pub? Wow ;)

Yes I'd agree for myself certainly - I don't have problems with it.

But I can see why some do.

I think it's a fundamental issue - online anonymous gaming does allow people to ignore common courtesy that dictates they would behave towards strangers in RL.

Have been saying this for years. If I remember correctly that is why at one point Blizzard was going to use real names only on the forums..

If I'm in the park - a public shared space - having a kick around with mates or just taking a stroll someone I don't know isn't going to come up to me, demand I talk to them and throw a ball in my face and declare that I'm now playing dodgeball with them.

Yet if I'm in open - a public shared space albeit with an entry fee - some people think it's fine to come up to me, demand my attention and play the way they want to.

That would be fine in CQC arena - no-one could expect to go in there and not get attacked. But open is a shared playing area for all game styles some of which are totally incompatible - some people expect to do what they like to whoever they like whenever whereas others expect a similar set of unwritten rules that you find in everyday life.

It aint ever gonna work like this.

I feel it is more of you are playing basketball with your friends and random strangers keep coming up and want to either chase you off their court or force you to play them so they can dominate you and expose you to their "leet" skills.

Piracy back in the day was more of a state sponsored enterprise against nation states in a sense. So an Imperial Pirate would only really target a federation trader and vice versa. Or it could even be neighbouring systems vs certain neighbouring systems and your alliance to that systems ruling body could be the trigger. I'd be more inclined to cooperate with piracy in open mode if there was a charter of rules of conduct. In fact I'd be happy to see that even in group as long as it wasn't some random murderous affair.

That was Privateering, sanctioned by one side, considered pirating by the other. Full blown pirates usually preyed on ships from any nation.
