I have two separate asteroids that I scanned.
The sounds are very much like the ua makes.

I've notice a lot of scans I took in the area sound a lot like the UA not just the asteroid. You notice those because it takes a lot longer to scan them then say a star or a large planet.
I was just thinking that the scanner sounding like the scanner might be related.
I agree it was one theory I liked before but so far the dots have not connected.
So in summary:
- Somebody (Ratking15) finally broke the wall of silence around Ecco and they appeared somewhat shocked, or just sarcastic, and hasn't returned. Yet. Shame, seemed like they had something to contribute. But I for one applaud Ratking15's delicacy in handling the matter.
- There's quite a bit of enthusiasm for getting a bunch together, but looks like the wind has been knocked out of those particular sails... Edit: No, a test has been done! See Mrtree, who's just ninja'd me. Sad news there Mrtree - did it have a name?
- Another new system found with a free-floating UA (HR1172 was it?). Great news
- Still no word as to whether listening to it either with your head under water, or just the speaker under the water has finally been tried. We await further confirmation.
- Someone (Sole Hunter) claims to know the answer, and also claims to have verified his suspicions by violating the EULA. A brave move for sure.
- The Pleiades is ever more a place of interest, not least because of some Egyptian lady's big arms (see next)
- Han_Zen has nearly completed a PhD in Wacky Egyptology in the course of 3 months
- Muddy Waters' guitar is under suspicion and is currently being hyper-analysed by some overzealous scientists. Legal representation has already been sought.

Fractux, this thing it's already been discussed a lot in the previous weeks: it's not the black hole neither the UA degrading or not: it's just the ships close to it, inside its cloud. We still don't know if it is MASS or the number of ships or both. That's why we were talking about a test with a few massive ships close to the UA. Ratking videos are just another proof to this behaviour, that was already observed in the near past, and studied.
to summarize:
few ships close to the UA, better if massive -> no BG VID8 sound, three Purrs or Two, more ships and I expect less or none.
With the recent hints and discoveries, I could risk and say that a few UAs close to each others will achieve a similar behaviour: no BG sound, Purrs will disappear completely, and something "interesting" will happen.
Ah, mate, that's rough news to read, however glad I am the others were retrieved safely. Rough news indeed. But a Canonn without MrThree? That's just barmy, like a family assortment pack without the custard creams. Just no, just wrong.
