For those of you on iOS switch to the keyboard with your local currency symbol (£ in my case). Press the key and hold and a pop-up list should offer a load of currency symbols including ¢.

It's a Cruzeiro 20a2. you can type ₢ by typing "& # 8 3 5 4" without the spaces.

But to tell you the truth, I prefer the ¢
