Elite Dangerous data : is the game dying or growing ?

And it was dumped down more and more across the years. I've noticed everything is getting really blurry, nowadays... damned X-Box!
Yeah I'm sure GTAV has worse retention, but that's only because A) It has a definitive story line (completion), B) Static Environment scope, C) Sold a gazillion copies.

Not to mention that it's a scary place as well. If you go to civilisedspace you'll get constantly interdicted by pirates (demanding money "to save children") or other griefers ("cheaper electricity").
I've seen so many threads like these for WoW over the years.. it's been dying since release.
The best thing to do when one of these crops up is to follow these simple steps:
1) raise your arms over your head;
2) start waving your hands uncontrollably;
3) while you're doing that, start running around;
4) and finally, scream "omg the sky is falling" as you're doing it.
This is how you panic properly. I hate it when people just do it half baked with a few dry statistics and semi sarcastic posts. Take some pride in it.

i'm fairly certain that Month Avg. Players will decrease in August for all games as we have this thing called 'nice weather' when people tend to spend a lot of time in a place called 'Outside'. i'm not that familiar with 'Outside' myself but i have heard it said that the graphics are amazing even if it does lack a coherent storyline
Also there has been some new block buster games that have been launched, I am sure some of the Elite players are playing the new Metal Gear. I do not think there is anything to worry about. I think the number should shoot up when Horizon is out... myself I have been looking forward to landing on a planet allot, I cannot wait till the first time I am on the surface of a planet and see the star rise from that perspective

I played GTAV for 100 hours, enjoyed it, but haven't been back. I never complete the stories in GTA, even though they're good, there is a wall of frustration there. I've played this game for over 500 hours, and yes I hardly use Steam to launch it as there's no need to load that extra stuff to play ED. The game may be doomed but I've had more value out of this game than any other (in modern times, FE2 is still winning).
PC gaming is dying. The cheque's in the post. I'll love you in the morning.

At school we learned that you could find one set of figures (road deaths) and match it with another set of figures (bubble gum sales) and postulate a wild theory "Blowing bubbles with Bubble gum causes road deaths". The statistics proved it! Never mind it was nonsense. Useful lesson. There are lies, damn lies and agendas backed by statistics.

Sorry, Mac user here... That is obviously windows.
I knew there was something wrong with margarine. Vile food substitute. Never touch the stuff. You could wake up divorced without even realizing.

You can either add it as a non-steam game or you can get steam keys from the Frontier Store. Please note that doing the latter means any digital purchases from FD in the future will be linked to steam, and Valve will take a proportion of what you pay.
