Not sure. Someone else in the queue said it wasn't the final version. I'm in the queue again right now so I'll ask. I might have a wander over to the HTC stand after and find out for certain. I would think you're still going to get pixelation at that resolution and eye distance.
Cool, thanks for checking that out. Yeah I only raise my eyebrows at this as I saw a hands on review of the Rift CV1 and one of the things mentioned was that there was virtually no pixelation. I figured the Vive would be similar. Here's the review..

And here's the relevant paragraph if you cant open it easily there SJT..
"" One of the things I did notice however was how much deeper the blacks felt, something that I think was absolutely crucial to the immersiveness factor. A number of the demos I tried had very dark scenes and they all looked great on the Rift. Additionally, the colors felt brighter and more vibrant. The resolution may or may not be better but the screen itself definitely felt different and improved. Oh – and there was absolutely no screen door that I could see. I really tried to focus on individual pixels and found it to be quite difficult."
and..
" Also – text legibility was vastly improved. UI elements in games were far more clear. Those worried about being able to have crisp displays with legible text need not worry any longer. " "
