Why do the CQC rewards pay so little? Aren't "athletes" suppose to be paid considerably more? My first match, I got 18 kills as MVP and got less than 3000 credits. In terms of earning money... It's a pretty bad way to do it for the main game.
It's a game within a game. There is absolutely no risk in taking part. You don't buy the ship, lose the ship, lose insurance costs, you lose nothing! The credits are appropriate. It's no risk for little reward. Be happy you get anything that counts towards the real game. Everyone else has to risk losing large amounts of money in game. You risk nothing.
Each time you reach rank 50 and 'prestige' your credit rewards from matches will increase. You can 'prestige' up to 9 times.
I hardly risk anything trading in a python armed to the teeth and I get a few million an hour. The risk is non-existent on single player mode.

3000 credits for CQC that's just downright insulting IMO. At this point why even bother having the credits in the first place. If anything it needs to be 10k per match minimum ideally 20k per match at non prestige and 180k per match at the 9th prestige at least then it would be worth something.

Put the same amount of time in CQC and you get 8,000 credits maybe. I would have preferred nothing, at least then I wouldn't have had the impression it was an actual means of making money.]
You risk whatever it cost you to rebuy that python if it gets destroyed. You lose all the cargo in the ship etc. etc. None of that applies in CQC. Do you really think you should be making the same money as someone risking their ship bounty hunting? I just read a reply in one of these thread by someone else who is a big CQC advocate and he was complaining about getting owned by the NPC's in the 1.4 update. You may find your risks have greatly increased in most cases in the main game now. Trading never was risky unless you were in open. Try taking an exploration ship 25 or 30 k into the void and lose everything you have earned when your ship explodes after a month or two or more of scanning systems. All kinds of risk for other parts of the real game, no risk at all for the arcade esport.

Starting out you are not a professional athlete, you are an amature legue athlete, prestige increases payout, and is effectively rising a 'degree' what rank you are considered. So yeah, once we get some people at max rank, professionals if you will then we can begin comparing, at least in my book. Why do the CQC rewards pay so little? Nonsense, you spend time, you should get credits.
Because it is not really part of the main game..... I would say CQC is closer to a video game within a videogame rather than an athlete, and with that in mind how many people actually make decent money from E sports?
each time we prestige our earnings go up, maybe when you are at the top level of CQC you will get a wage more like what you are after
LOL @ 180k per match. So you actually do not want to play elite then, you just want to play CQC?
180K a match is totally unrealistic imo...... 25k a match at top prestige maybe?
Real athletes earn because they provide entertainment to ordinary people who pay money to see them. Nobody wants to watch you play a video game. Grow up.Why do the CQC rewards pay so little? Aren't "athletes" suppose to be paid considerably more?...
