News Exploration data server upgrade

It appears to still be a general issue which we will investigate further.

Means that

a) stop playing/scanning because the data are generally lost

or

b) continue playing/scanning because the data are safe, but the data will only not shown correctly?

Please let us know. Thanks

I don't see that anything has changed since the data 03/10-05/10 was lost in the update. From reading what the other players are experiencing, Im glad iv been parked up since b4 the update.

What is the point of continuing to scan system, when the next day, these scans are also missing. Im staying put until it's resolved!

I know that the FD team are working hard to resolve ALL issues, but PLEASE give us some indication as to whether this 'missing data' is lost forever...then we can move on!
 
Indeed. If the problem is being investigated and tends to need days to be solved, i'd rather go near Sol and play something else as i'm not very far from the human part of the galaxy. Just let us know.

Your are a lucky one. Me are far away from the bubble (15000 ly) and this problem is an total Showstopper/Gamebreaker for me!

Is why Iv not scanned anything or moved from my position since Monday night...

...unfortunately I don't do pewpew, so i quit the game & come on the Forum's to complain about it! - forum word checker won't let me type '.....'

I just tried to create a ticket on that. After making all necessary entries and hitting the 'create ticket' button I just get sent back to the 'select a product' screen. No confirmation message like 'ticket created', ticket ID or somesuch. I also don't get an email on this.

Is this normal?

Did you log in to your account before hitting the 'create ticket', it took me a few mins to get to the create ticket section
 
Scanned another 120 systems tonight logged out logged back in and checked so my primary ns detail scan shows not the honk scan with the other stellar bodies

Except the bh systems I visited both the primary detail scan in the bh and all honk scan stellar bodies show as well.

Last night everything seemed fine. I just logged in and I have the same problems: Most of what I scanned 17 hours ago is now unexplored. The system I'm in is only showing the last body I scanned as explored whilst all the systems I visited are now only partially scanned or not at all. I'm out of the game now until it's fixed. I'm several thousand light years out so I can't just get on with something else like trading or whatever. This is dragging on too long now.

As Mike mentioned there has been some additional issues with the exploration servers. We strongly advise that everyone stop exploring while we investigate.

I'm really sorry for the different messages and we will keep you updated as soon as we have more information.

Maybe the tickets are stored the same way as exploration data ;)

I be done some testing at Sag A* today. Seems that only the last scanned object is marked as scanned after restart - and only if you jump to another system before quitting. Bodied not detail scanned are forgotten it seems.

I'm just going to head back to the bubble and just honk, jump and scoop. If the data is lost I'll take it as a loss - and never go exploring when a big release is due in future.

Frontier should stop letting marketing dictate their release schedule IMHO

Does this mean I have to rescan all the systems again in order to get my name on the systems I have previously scanned?

If that is the case, then I am glad I installed Capatin's Log so that I can find the POI systems I found on my travels again; Especially now the search function works perfectly in 1.4.

I know I will definitely visit two POI's again, like this one:

 
Still broken for me. Logged in about an hour ago rescanned system for fourth time (main star was already scanned, woohoo) and logged out. Just logged back in now and main star unscanned and one blacked out planet showing (out of three planets).

Agree with previous comments. It's not like I can crack on with anything else when I'm 18KLy out other than CQC which I have absolutely no interest in, so it's a gamebreaker for me as it stands.

Appreciate the update but this has taken too long IMO.
