Xbox Community Goal Mission

Grinded 40T today, not too bad given the 4T per trip limit. time to go watch some TV for a break...lol

533 tonnes collected so far
While I was watching Thursday Night Football last night I got up to 20-24 tons in. At the time it put me in the top 5%. I felt a smug satisfaction about that. I know it'll be shattered when I log in tonight haha!

My Asp can do the trip between systems in 3 jumps so I decided to hang for over 30 minutes at Julian and it never gave me more than the original (4t), so apparently this Rare is maxed at 4 no matter how long you hang around. Speaking as a rather veteran Rare Trader, this is the first Rare item that I have not been able to get more than the original quantity by waiting around for a respawn.

All in all, I am finding this CG a bit of a grind. At least as far as how much you can haul per trip coupled with a pretty dismal return on the sale of the Rush itself. The distance between the two stations is just under 100 Ly, so we just miss that bump in the resale value of the Rare.

Most importantly though... I am keeping a close eye on our group progress because of what happened during the last CG we had on the Xbox where the delivered tonnage was never scaled to the size of our community. The PC side generally has thousands of participants and I don't think the XB1 community of ED has those numbers yet.

We should know within the next day or so.

Thats impressive! Good work! 10 trips is a lot of dedication! Lets keep our fingers crossed that FD is paying attention to our community's size and has scaled our CG to that number and not just tossed the multi thousand participant PC version over onto the XB1, which will not end well. ;)

Guess I need to buy an asp for this mission. The 7-8 jumps it took me for my Python isn't cutting it. Although I doubt no one would interdict me.

I'm currently running the CG with my Cobra with 5 jumps one way. I'd like to do it in three jumps, but I'm not quite ready to buy an Asp just yet. I haven't been interdicted with the cargo in my hold, but even if I am I'll just run away. Cobra BOOST! :D

Dont smuggle alot what you guys flying?
yeah asp it is, im sure I can squeez into the dock quick enough

Taco Corp has a great executive chef in our own test kitchen developing spicy recipes for sweet revenge on Imperial nostrils everywhere the Taco trucks and vans visit; We have no need to oppress slave cooks.

Yeah...I swapped out my Python for this CG.

All things considered the Asp is the best ship in the fleet for this particular mission. Even though you can get a Conda to do a higher jump range, at just under 100 Ly between systems, the Conda can't do the trip any faster than 3 jumps either.

I own both ships, but chose the Asp because of the low cargo space requirement for the mission and the lowest number of jumps between these two systems. And of course, not everyone participating can afford a Conda, but most should be able to afford an Asp. :D

One word of warning though... I would arm up and not fly an unarmed Asp on this CG. I have been interdicted by Pirates almost every trip and had to do some serious fighting. Ironically, the most common Pirate ship I am running up against are Asps! ;)

I recommend at least a C6 Shield generator with three A class boosters. 2 Medium gimbaled Multi-Cannons, and 4 Small Gimbaled Beam Lasers. I have found this to be the best combat load out for the venerable Asp Explorer. I've got close to 4 months of flying time with the ship. :)

A python but right just buy an ASP for this event. Hopefully they scale it or like the first one will be no chance to achieve.

I am starting to get a sinking feeling that our event IS NOT scaled to the community population. Just based on the amount of progress bar movement compared to our current tonnage number. Still... It will give folks a feel for how one of these CGs work even though it is starting to look like the XB1 community has once again been tossed an unscaled PC version CG designed for 1-3 thousand participants, not hundreds! :(

That is typically how they work, but based on the number of participants listed and total Tonnes collected so far for our CG, it doesn't look like we are working alongside the PC and Mac communities, but have our own separate version of the CG. I'm basing this assumption on the current number of participants and the Global Progress number of TONNES Collected. 163 and 1,439 respectively.

I fitted my Asp to your specs. Headed out soon to give it a go.

At least we have 6 days to give it our best. didn't help with the lack of communications leading up to the event either

Rep to op I would've missed this .
7 jumps in my fas so I think three trips is my limit for tonight ,I'm a long way from home. Just to confirm you have to sell them on the black market just seems strange for a mission

Hello fellow commanders,

for those who are not aware there is an xbox community goal that started today. Please get involved if we reach the community goal we will be awarded with Rare item, Master Chefs, see these links for more information https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=189106 https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/3nuonf/elite_dangerous_is_out_now_participate_in_our/

I have confirmed that you can contribute to this goal even in solo mode for those unsure or not wanting to play open. So head on over to Noti and accept the community goal at then head over to Julian Market in the Aganippe System. its only a 94.15ly run ;)

Aganippe Rush is a rare item with only 4T per trip available. Also please be aware that this item is also illegal in Noti space, so best advice is to line up the docking bay and boost in

Aganippe Rush buys for 8966CR/T.

2 questions. What's the profit per ton? And what will the rewards be at the end?

The reward is our own unique Rare Item Master Chefs. We need los of Agnippe Rush drug to make this rare item.

"Master Chefs are selected based on genetic markers that tend to favour an aptitude for the gourmet. Little is known about them except that they are kidnapped as children and then trained under mysterious conditions to bring out their genetic cooking potential. The use of Master Chefs is illegal in most Federal and Alliance systems, but is regarded as a sign of high status in many Imperial systems. Many anti-slavery protest groups have tried to free Master Chefs from their life of culinary bondage, yet due to their training, most return of their own free will to serve. Theirs is a life of servitude - they know nothing but to cook."

Profit is about 14K total for the 4T from memory. will double check my next run
