Just to say on this, I'm not advocating either way but this sort of thing confuses me.
Given a refund is probably available to you if you asked, in real terms there is no difference at all between you and a new investor thinking about putting £150 in.
You choose not to take the refund but presumably if you were a new backer today you wouldn't put the money in?
I'm wondering, what's the difference between the two and what keeps you from asking for your money back?
(Feel free to ignore the question if you want, it's just I see a lot of backers saying similar things)
They are either not showing more mature tech (no, a PG terrain prototype doesn't count) that they have cooking .. or they really burned a lot of man-hours on doing websites, ships, videos, or simply redoing a lot of work that doesn't live up to a certain someone's standard. I don't know which one is true but what will tell us at least something for the future of SC is CIG's financial statements.
looks terrible? entire movies has been made that way. and it looked fine even 10 years ago

Any of you guys have a theory why CIG have gone from Pledge to the Pre-Order?
It's getting close to release?
that's the good one.....but it could be a kind of marketing trick to mislead new backers to "Pre-Order"a game as it's sounds that is much closer to release like that....
Sq42: Episode 1 has been slated for the end of the year to Q1 of 2016
Having only discovered all this Derek Smart stuff a week ago and now post CitizonCon, I'm not sure what to make of it and what to believe. There sure is a lot of smoke from the articles, so surely there must be some fire.
The Sq42 walk thru looked good, no doubting that. But the character voice action and pacing seems off by quite a bit. it needs something 'more' adding to the mix. Maybe now CIG have read all the feedback they will re-visit it for some more passes to refine that section.
And the Gary Oldman speech was lacking I agree. I don't think Gary's voice is the right one for a game, its not distinctive enough. Now Mark Strong and Liam Cunningham, they both have very distinctive voices.

Chris stated before showing the video that the current build has issues with the pacing of the voices/conversation.
That was just for the Idris tour part.

I'm curious as to why? Some of what I saw from citizencon was the first thing in a long time that made me think that there is a game in there after all.Well CitizenCon convinced me to ask for a refund on my main account, will let you guys know if it comes through.

Not trying to pick a fight, just genuinely curious as to what you saw (or didn't see) that was the last straw.
