Yeah thanks. It was literally their opening statement when they announced the release of Horizons that it would include airless worlds only. I guess sacastic/tounge in cheek comments don't translate well in forums even if you do use a winking smiley face at the end of a ridiculous statement.

indeed however 1 thing to keep in mind on the seasons thing.
AFAIK at no point have FD stated how long a season will be.
It is natural to assume that each season will be 12 months, and the fact that season 2 looks to be coming almost exactly 12 months from the launch of the game seems to confirm it.
HOWEVER
There is nothing to say that season 3 will not come much sooner. There are 4 seasons in a year for instance. I would imagine that IF for instance EVA was perfected and FD wanted to launch it, esp if they needed a cash injection, they would not necessarily have to wait till the end of the year to release it.
TLDR.... imo season 3,4,5 etc may come quicker than we think.

I am guessing EVA will be a season (I do not see getting out of your seat and walking around in your ship to be a whole season). I am guessing things like boarding deralict ships and possible pirate boarding parties, emergency external ship repairs would be in this..
maybe getting out of your ship on an airless moon may be one, complete with pirate base / military base raids (possible season)
which then leaves atmospheric worlds and big game hunting etc (plenty for a season here)
So that is 4 seasons and the base game. (my point is if season 5 is the earliest you expect it, does that mean the alternative is you think we may never get it?)
I am struggling to think of (maybe my lack of imagination) anything else which could be big enough to roll into a season.
There is stuff I would like in there on top of this. (surface mines we can set up ourselves, gas giants with stormy weather, new bases, new ships, new sundries, more CQC map** ) but nothing that I think could either stand as a paid season, or at least not without screwing up the game for those without the DLC.
**** I really hope extra CQC content comes as a freebie within each season. I would hope they do NOT do "season 3 CQC content" for instance.

I agree! I would rather wait for FD to get it right than rush it! Even though I am foaming at the mouth for the planetary landings!
With FD love of science and astronomy I would bet money on it. It may come later in the season since even though there is no "air" on the planet I believe in the Elite lore the earth moon is habituated by human colonies by 3301 time period.
