OP updated. Seems a little odd that some modules/weapons are discounted when others arn't, I guess CQC is a little crazy
Anyone spot an A5 FSD and Shield at any Yong-Rui discount world? Went to my usual suspects - Lembava and Diaguandri - and neither had A5 FSD or shields in stock.
Spent an hour or so going to tech worlds in growing sphere around Lembava but none had A5 of either in stock as well. Argh.

I usually find all higher grades components from Ray Gateway in Diaguandri for 15% discount and Jameson Memorial in Shinrarta Dezhra with a 10% discount. The 2 systems are not that far from each other.
Cant speak for xp of all players and ships - maybe inventory supply at stations work differently / randomly for different players, ship types, and/or faction rep - or some combo of these and othee factors.
But i'm allied with fed and empire, and while Diaguandri is excellent source, almost never been able to fully A rate ships all the time there. Between Lembava and Diaguandri, can usually A rate 80-90% of most ships, but vast majority of time, not been able to fully A rate my ships
always something missing - sometimes a major piece like shields or fsd, sometimes minor.
what i do is goto Lembava and Diaguandri for every ship outfit, get most parts A rated. Then have to hit up somewhere else for what I'm missing. Given the disparity of xp, I am suspecting station inventory is a) tied to specific ship and b) perhaps even some RNG based on player

I always complete my Diaguandri purchases at Jameson Memorial. Never had any problem finding high grade components there, at 10% discount.
Am still ranking up to get elite to get founder world 10% access. Is Jameson Memorial 10% discount on all ships/outfitting, and is it a special permit world?
Jameson is a station in the Founders World (Shinrata) system. They are all one and the same.
The reason people want to go there instead of Li Yong-Rui is that Jameson has every single weapon, ship and part so you can guarantee outfitting whereas for Li Yong-Rui you may have to wait or travel.
Oops! Sorry! Forgot I got the founder world permit as being a Kickstarter backer...
i'd go to Founders world too, soon as I am able. Tycoon but far away from making that last step up to Elite.
tye 10% wpuld be cheaper for me overall because as you say, guaranteed to have all in stock in one place. The time I use up searching is usually worth 15% or no 15% on big ticket item, so I do it despite hassle. But at 5% delta i could probably make more by using the saved time to run missions, trade, etc
Depends on the item to be fair. That 160mil 7A powerplant or 312mil Anaconda armour makes the extra 5% well worth looking for. On the other hand I seem to have no trouble at all with Lembava/Diaguandri, never had to look elsewhere. I guess thats the RNG for you

True, and to be fair I've never had opportunity or rich enough to buy 300+M armor where my math does indeed break down, but I have done 7A powerplants
at anything 160 or even upto 200 million'ish - the extra 5% savings would be 8 to 10 million. A nice hefty chunk - but purely my xp of course and may be quite different for others, but after stopping by Lembava and Diaguandri, I Have almost never gotten lucky enough to immediately find what i need on next world, almost always takes me 1 hour+ to hunt, land, and check 5-6 worlds before i find it.
in one hour, i usually make 11M, maybe 12-13M if i am lucky, in my trade anaconda. So true, if i get really lucky and find my part quick, then the extra 5% saved will be worth more than what i make in same time trading. But usually even when lucky i stop by 2-4 worlds and thats like half hour minimum to 45 min with hyper and landing time which puts me break even, and anything more and i lose more hunting worlds than just using time saved trading.
omce i get founders world, other than for the super big ticket stuff like mil or mirror armor, I will just do the quick 10% guarantted in stock vs hunt fpr 15%
