OMG OMG OMG OMG
After you get above 300 meters above ground - it becomes really beautiful. I like the cloudy white gas lake at the bottom of crater and hints of it covering whole surface and these metallic veins running through the ground. Amazed by variation of terrain colour (not sure if the structure of the ground looks different up close). This shows you almost (didn't see mountain ranges yet) have everything ready to make realistic looking Pluto (as good as the latest photos by NASA).Here's another unedited video taken from Elite Dangerous: Horizons. Again, many things here are unfinished which I won't call out. This shows another slow zoom, but this time showing the effect of volatiles forming as a mist in a deep crater on a cold, rocky, uninhabited world:

But do you plan on improving closeup look of terrain (what we'll see inside 300 meter radius around us sitting in our buggies)? It doesn't look good to me. Not enough detail

Anyone care to explain what 'volatiles forming' means?![]()

Perhaps you should read the text that accompanies the video in Sir Braben's post? I'll quote it for you...

Volatiles are gaseous chemicals, commonly reactive hydrocarbons (as in VOCs). As in the kind we might use for fuelApparently it's off gassing and accumulating inside the crater, thus making it easier to collect (wink wink).
Why is Frontier expecting me to "play" this game, when I can land near that crater and just stay there in total awe!?
And people still ask why I have so little credits in that game...
