Active Discounts thread

Some sure infos to where to buy an Anaconda discounted without any permission?

I have a Python and is not the funniest thing to travel 150 LY for nothing!

Thank you!

Thanks Kantos! Is the best at the moment?

That 20% discount was probably temporary, as most discounts above 15% are. The Ray Gateway discount is permanent, you can always go there to get the 15% discount.

Hi guys, as this thread saved me 15% on an anaconda and the modules for it, (flying an tradaconda with 135 mil instead of 165 mil!) I thought I would check back in to update the thread. The Li Yong-Rui discount is still active at the time of my post, all ships and modules still 15% discounted.

Edit: I see that Ray Gateway was confirmed about my post, which is where I am at the moment.

Lost internet for a week or so. Back online now just in time for 1.5 beta (hopefully) :D
Been around Li Yong & Alioth and updated them. If anyone visits Daedalus Station in Sol or Beta Hydri and/or Wolf 406 they could do with checking & updating although I have no reason to believe they've ended.

I should also take a trip to Hudson and Mahon space to check if the outfitting discounts are still broken but I may leave that till after 1.5 & Horizons hit in December (again hopefully) and then bug-report if they are not working.

Keep buying y'all, I expect many visits once 1.5 hits and people are looking for cheap Corvettes and Cutters :D

Cayutorme CG Completion.
Now 15% discounts apply on impounded rebel ships.
Now you can buy an anaconda for 124Mil Cr. 200Ly from LYR discounted territory.
Not a bad outfitting selection either.

I have been looking at the discounted price of the Asp. According to Edshipyard and coriolis.io the full price is 6,135,660. Discounted at 15% it should be 5,215,311. As I have Elite trader status there should then be a further discount of 130,382 ie 5,084,929. However the price to me was 5,520,429 at Li-Yong stations and 5,520,428 at Cayutorme, both about 10% discount.

Have I got something wrong?

Shipyard apps subtract the cost of the stock equipment (cargo racks, pulse lasers etc). Best way is to see what the wiki says the base value is. In this case the Asp is 6,661,153Cr: http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Asp_Explorer

Can anyone confirm Cayutorme discounts are still valid ? Tonight I will give a last contribution to the CGs in Kaushpoos and thought about buying a Python after doing that.

I don't know about the Cayutorme discounts, sadly. You can still get a 15% discount in various Li Yong-Rui systems, specially at Ray Gateway in Diaguandri. They have the Python discounted 15% there. Might be worth the extra few jumps.

And I think a Python is a nice reward after running for a CG! You'll like it, I'm sure. Make sure you have the credits for an insurance re-buy is something would go south. And try to upgrade the internal modules to at least a D grade for less weight and higher jump range. You might want to consider the A grade FSD if you can afford it.

Thank you for the tips. Unfortunately I don't have baron rank for imperial clipper (no I didn't have enough money when it was sold without requirements :D ).

Ah yes, the Imperial Clipper requires Baron rank. But I thought you said you would buy yourself a Python?

Yes I was going to buy a clipper during the last CGs in Cayutorme, because of the removal of the rank requirements. Unfortunately I didn't have enough money so I bought an imperial courier for BH. Once in Kaushpoos for the next CGs, I decided to buy a Vulture and made millions with better BH so now I have enough money to buy a python. I am still interested in a clipper but I don't have the rank.

Ahh, as you can see by my profile pic I do have a deep felt love for the Clipper and it's blistering speed.
The Python Vs Clipper argument still rages in my head occasionally but the sheer firepower and survivability of the Python pretty much outweighs the speed of the Clipper especially in combat zones and Haz Res sites.

Still, when the dust settles and my garage has one of every ship I'll probably end up back in the Clipper as it's a great all rounder, the only other contender for my favourite ship is the Fed Assault ship although something about it just doesn't sit right with me, possibly the low shielding :)

For me, another deal breaker for the Clipper when I upgraded to a Python was the ability of docking at outposts which was not possible with the Clipper.
