Powerplay Faction: Arissa Lavigny-Duval Dispatch from the Kamadhenu Herald - Cycle 26

Even if they were telling the truth too... there is a big difference: you share a border with the feds, not with us.

Without any organized efforts, what is left are the grinders, and they undermine whatever is closer to them, and thats why all the Alliance border with Hudson gets undermined. It is just that simple.

It's not that simple. Those grinders will very quickly find themselves hostile in their own systems and even wanted if they do it enough.

Now, when it comes to the non-Federation systems that are undermined, yes, the Feds are an obvious scape-goat, but so far this cycle, that only accounts for 8 out of 15 control systems. The other 7 are Federation systems.

The idea that the Feds would be grinding out undermining in our Federation systems is as ludicrous as the idea that an ALD player would be grinding out undermining merits in one of Delaine's Empire control systems. It's something you'd only do once, because you'd very quickly realise that you end up hostile everywhere in your home space.

Btw, if ALD players would never undermine Mahon because of the distances involved, there's absolutely no way that Aisling would either, because she's even further away than ALD is.

So - obviously this wing of three Aisling pledges undermining in Mahon space is just an illusion, right? Well, technically there are four, but we don't know who the fourth one was.

Sure, these are Aisling commanders and not ALD commanders, and this isn't a matter of shaming these three pilots. They are perfectly entitled to undermine Mahon if that's what they want.

My point is that Aisling is just as far from Mahon space as ALD is, and if Aisling commanders are willing to travel the distance, I see absolutely no reason that ALD pilots wouldn't. But sure - try to convince me that ALD pilots are entirely too lazy and unmotivated to do something that other powers' pledges are clearly willing to do.

Sounds like Feds trying to get prismatic shields. They must align themselves to aisling, and they can't undermine the Empire, so, if they are feds and they are not gonna undermine the Federation, the obvious remaining choice is the Alliance.

There is no reason for ALD to attack the Alliance, we are at war with the Feds and attacking the Alliance would help them, so why? Why would we even think about that? We can't put enough of an organized effort to fully undermine Archon, and we do that in open, do you think we are capable of undermining that many Alliance systems in secret, and with no good reason?

Just tell me, what do we win? We don't want to expand that high, we dont want to clear the way for the feds to expand there either. Just help me understand, what is it we are after in your space?

I'm not sure if I should facepalm or slap someone.

Are you SERIOUSLY suggesting that ABSOLUTELY NO ALD PLEDGED PILOTS (who aren't in it for the Hammer) are undermining Mahon? Because if you are, then you seriously need to check if your reality is actually connected to the the real world.

Y so SRS?

We are SERIOUSLY saying that there is no ORGANIZED effort to undermine. The organized groups cannot, and SHOULD NOT, tell individuals what they can and cannot do.

So if some pilots decide to go undermine, oh well...

But it is not organized. Organized looks like 30 plus pilots in 9 wings earning 160000 CZ merits in a system in the space of 3 hours all IN OPEN, so someone could have seen us if they were in open too.

No - that's what SOME of you are saying. Others, like Iori, is making the argument that there is no way on God's Green Earth that ANY "true" ALD pledges are undermining Mahon. That is what is making me facepalm, because that is a statement that is BEYOND stupid.

I never have, and I never will claim, that any organized player group can control what all of their pilots do, let alone what the pilots outside of that player group does. That's why I'm saying that I'm 100% certain that there are ALD pilots undermining Mahon and that there are Mahon pilots undermining ALD. ANY claim to the contrary without hard evidence directly from FDev can be entirely dismissed as fairytale dreams of a deluded mind.

That is why I'm "so serious". I simply cannot fathom how people can be so deluded as to think otherwise without actual hard evidence.

You can't prove a negative.
I can't prove there is no undermining going on by any pilot, and I can't find where anyone made that statement except you.

Several people have expressed the opinion that it would be silly to do so, but then people are silly.

The closest statement that I can find is this one:
Our pilots wont go all the way to your side of the populated bubble to undermine you without orders, and as you can see, there are no orders to do so.

"Our Pilots" meaning organized ones, "without orders" meaning organized ones.

The idea that he meant NO PILOTS at ALL originated in your head, not in this thread.

This week's thread is dedicated to the alliance. You're so much chattering in fear?
You are at first place. That is enough for many people to check how much it deserved.
Shut up and fight! I mean Fortify. Do it in solo if you are too scared.

To be clear: I did not visit the alliance space for about a month. I do not need to free space for the feds expansion. But maybe it's interesting to poke Alliance fat body?
Just for the sake of justice. News on the GalNet about Mahon annoying me.

Do not forget that tyere are A LOT of pledged powers who do not follow any instruction/rules, and that just want their 50 Mil at the end of the week, so i am not suprprised that you do find many "strange" behaviour in pledged people.
This is just caused by people doing the easiest thing they can find to get merits.

First, you are selective quoting ignoring my whole point
and second, you are strawmanning like a champion.

Mahon is the obvious target for feds who want prismatic shields, because they are not gonna attack their own Federation.
Am I saying there can't be lone ALD-pledged fighters who on their own account, go all the way to undermine Mahon? No, but I am fairly certain that the massive amount of undermining you receive doesn't come from those isolated cases if they existed, and even if it did, you can't blame our power for it. We never made a conscious effort to undermine you, we are not interested in it, and if you suggest there is a secret conspiracy that nobody found out but somehow manages to undermine 10 Mahon systems, I would like to hear how exactly are we doing it, and whats in it for us.

Hello Cmdrs,
Patreus needs your help.
Rui is trying to expand into our last good systems. He is winning the preparation right now. Please undermine him if you can, so he goes into turmoil.
Thx.

I'm sorry, but you're using terms which don't seem to make any sense in relation to Power Play mechanics.

If the system is yours, exploited or control, no Power can prepare or expand into it. Another Power could Contest an exploited system, by preparing/expanding another system within 15Ly. Is that what is going on here?

If he is winning the preparation right now, then he is not expanding there. Not yet. Maybe next week.

If it is preparation this week, then going into turmoil this week will probably increase their chances of securing the system next week, when they emerge from turmoil.

If you are actually asking for help, please be clear what the situation is and how we can best help.

Additionally, I'm pretty sure Patreus leadership doesn't agree with you that the system is worth fighting over. Y'all should be helping to fortify what profit-making systems you still retain control over, as I heard you're experiencing very targeted undermining this week. If you don't secure the good systems while you're being undermined, you will never keep control of them.
