Thanks going to check in to that for sure.
I know this is OT however, just bear in mind its not all gravy.
I just sold mine, on ebay, for £300. plus £7.50 P&P
it was a buy it now I am sure i could have gotten more, it sold in 5 mins..... however.
Whilst i was prepared for the 10% ebay fee (almost £31) I was a little disappointed for a few reasons.
1) the largest postage i could put in was £7.50. I have had friends who sell stuff say I did something wrong there and you can charge what you like. Maybe i missed something but I could not go about £7.50
HOWEVER.... with insurance P&P came to £17.33, so I lost almost £10. (**If you sell, use collect plus.. WAY cheaper than parcel force... wish i had known that then!**
2) Ebay actually take 10% charge of the postage cost, so that meant effectively my P&P charged was only £6.75
3) (The big one) Paypal, charge 3.5%ish as well. I thought if you were not a business and if you kept your cash in your account till you bought something through PP there was no charge. I was wrong. Given Ebay own PP, and you kind of have to use it these days if you want a sale, imo ebay are double dipping a bit there.
4) there is naff all protection for the seller from what I can tell. it seems at any point up to 3 months I think, after the sale, the buyer can do a paypal charge back and there is not a huge amount paypal will do to help the seller.
All in all of my £307.50 sale, I only cleared around £249. Still not too shabby and means my 15 months VR gaming only cost me £38.
