Community Event / Creation Voice Attack profile sharing.

Hey there, love the profile, its freaking awesome! Noob question though, is there a way for me to change the computer's voice? Love the profile but the dude's voice is throwing me off lol. Thanks in advance and again, awesome profile!

your welcome. For text to speech voices. I use ivona Amy, but the software cost about $45. there some free one around if you do some googling. if your running windows 8 and up. Search for SAPI 5 Voices if you dont like the default SAM from windows.

Okey, I am extreamly new to this, so if I am writing in the wrong forum and should look up other sources of information, please excuse my wrong doings and perhaps send me in the correct direction? ^^

Because, I have downloaded your VA profile. It seems to work. VA recognizes stuff I say and when I have changed the keybindings on your keybinding commands , I get them to work IN-GAME aswell. Fantastic!

But I'm having trouble with the more advanced commands like request docking and such. They seem to be recongnized by VA but nothing happends in game. Is this because I have not yet changed ALL the keybinding-commands to my presets? Or why is this and what do I have to do to get it to work?

If I am missing the vital parts of getting a profile as yours to work with VA please tell me so and I will try to find information. But, what I would really like is a tutorial to get your VA-profile (or any for that matter) to work!

Thanks in advance
//Simon

when you first load the profile each time you open voice attack do you use the command "full reset"? if not you need to do that to set all the values for the command to start working. other then that check the UI menu nav keybindings. it defaulted to WASD and Tab Q, E.

Hi Ishmair,

Thank you for the awesome VA profile, I'm using a combination of yours and Dizzy B High's. I've got it working pretty well, but there is one persistent problem that I am running into.

i am using Dizzy's voice panel selection, and the problem is this:

When selecting the Sub-Targets panel when targeting a large ship, the voice command works perfectly, but, once the ship has been destroyed the Sub-Targets panel is automatically deselected and the Contacts panel is selected in its stead. At this time, I believe that the value of the Contacts panel is updated from the default value of 3 to the value of the Sub-Targets panel which is 4. This causes the panel targeting commands to get out of sink, and while I have a Set Panel Command to resolve this, it would be great if there could be something built in to the panel values to avoid this.

i have no idea how this would be done but I have a guess that it may be linked to somehow retrieving the original value of the Contacts panel once the target is destroyed?

Do you know what I'm talking about? Any ideas? Sorry if you've already answered this or if it is any of your code,I've used some of yours but not all.

Thanks for your help / advice,

Tatonker

Good question. only thing I can say. Is at the end of the sub target command add the command to return the panel tab back to navigation. exe another command "close" command at the end of the sub target command. My close command look at the values the tabs it's on and returns the tab back to default. but that only works if dizzy's still using "tab-panel-left" as a value

Thanks for the response Ishmair.

I'll have a think and see if adding what you suggest does the trick. One thing to note though is that I'm not sure if I have had the problem I described above since I added your 'panel back to navigation' in the 'close' command. In theory this should have fixed it as the panel will no longer be on 'sub-targets' when the target is destroyed as it would have shifted back to 'navigation', will have to check!

I'll be out of town for the next week but will pay attention when I'm back in the combat zones next weekend.

Cheers,

Tat

Power distribution not working

I'm new to the game and Voiceattack and have a problem with Ishmair's Elite X52 pro profile.

Trying to divert power does not seem to work.
I am using the default keyboard settings of up, down, left, right arrows and they work if I press them.
With the power settings at 2 'pips' each if I say "full power to engines" nothing happens and the voiceattack log shows command recognized and then "unable to execute command, command not available"
The same happens with "power to..." for system, engine and weapons.
I have tried the "full reset" command so VA should initialize the power settings but still the power distribution does not work.
I have tried to understand the logic of the conditions for power distribution but got lost :S and I don't know if the power distribution checker and power counter are working correctly.
Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks

I have few questions to help me fix that.
- all the other commands working?
- are all the prefix and suffix commands in the profile?
- did you delete any of the command from the profile?
- do you have the full version of voice attack?

v0.28 12/18/15
-tweak: broke up the dismiss ship and recall ship and add the landing gear values into the command.
-tweak: board ship, deploy SRV to reset values for power distribution
-tweak: the crafting menu not to detect tab right or left that was confusing the right panel tab values.

Thanks for the reply Ishmair.
I haven't tried all the commands but the ones I have, including the panel commands, do seem to work.
None of the commands have been deleted and I do have the full version of VA.

While trying out the power distribution a couple of times when asking for full power to the engines the ship told me they were on full power when in fact they were on the default 2 "pips"

Since posting I have modified your profile and simplified the power distrtbution commands to simple key presses which seems to work. I'm not that bothered about the ship telling me if the engines/systems/weapons are at full power nor, at the moment, bothered about using partial power.

I am still doing the training missions and wanted to use the power commands to help fight the Cobra in the combat training.

ya ran into that problem with Switching from ship to SRV. Fix it to reset the values for power distibutiom on board ship and deploy SRV voice commands. but I think have to remove the max pips warning. If I run into another problem with it. I'm still working out the changes in horizons. The other day trying to do the work around for the data scanner bug. My controls binding went blank and I had to redo all my binding to find out FD renamed some of the binding which I was upset about at the time and my backup controls file from Beta 6 did not want to work. :( Trying to figure out what binding is which. now I have to go though my profile and name the binding to the ones they change names on. But that has passed.

I don't have Horizons so I don't have an SRV Ishmair.
If I get chance later today I'll go through your original Elite X52 Pro profile and note what does and doesn't work.

Ok. Got a quick question for you then. Do have the crafting menu in the cargo/inventory on the right side panel? I Really don't want to make different profiles for each expansion that come out. I was think of adding a ignore condition. that will ignore horizon commands if the value is set.

No Sir.

I have just done a quick check on most of the voice commands Ishmair using your Elite X52 pro profile and it only seems to be the power distribution ones that don't work.
The above happens even after a "reset power" command.

BTW if you are troubleshooting this profile just for my benefit Ishmair please don't bother. I have used it as a basis and modified it to suit my current needs and have the power distribution working.

Power to - or full power to - engines results in "Engines already at full power" but they still only have 2 "pips". If I then ask for power or full power
to either weapons or systems nothing happens, no voice communication nor any increase in "pips".
The "request docking" command doesn't appear to work but I'm guessing it may need the docking computer or it may be me doing something wrong

I have not checked any of the speed commands because I use a throttle and haven't set any bindings for speed control.
I haven't tried any of the wingman controls or the nav lock route.

The non-standard keybindings you are using in this profile are

Comms panel you use 3, std is 2
Cycle next subsystem you use ]} std is Y
debug mode camera (now classified camera mode) not set by defualt
Hardpoints, you use H, std is U
Enable frameshift drive to supercruise/hyperspace are not set by default, the system selects the correct mode
Toggle frameshift drive is J
headlook is not set by default
Landing gear, you use Insert, std is L (insert is for lights)
Galaxy map, you use C std is M
Wingman select numbers:
wingman 1, you use 6 std is 7
wingman 2, you use 7 std is 8
wingman3, you use 9, std is 8
Set speed 0%, you use numpad 4, std is X
Other speed settings are not set by default

The above keybindings are from the default Generic joystick profile

I dont know how your "Dock Request" command is working, but in every profile i've tried so far its a bust.
Most of the times if the panels are messed up, it will open Transactions instead and cancel my mission instead of opening Contacts and request landing.
