Hey guys. If this has been answered already then I apologise.
Whats the closest station to Obsidian orbital that provides outfitting?
Thanks in advance
I went to Kolaga once to upgrade my ship. It were about 15 jumps away I think.Hey guys. If this has been answered already then I apologise.

Just a little postcard I picked up at Obsidian Orbital to remember my "vacation" in the Pleiades....
You are guaranteed to find them if you are in the right location
I did indeed say they are exceedingly rare - much rarer than UAs. ALthough unlike the UAs there are some that have been physically placed by us, although they are generated in certain areas of space.
One thing I noticed in the trailer, assuming this is a clue, we definitely have mist, but look at the sky... Dark. In Pleiades no matter what I'm on the sky is bright and colourful
Either we didn't have sky in the shot or the sky is dark. In s nebula that would be something like a dark region or coalsack?
Has anyone got a still shot of the barnacle area in the trailer at its widest frame. What clues could be gained from the light and rock surface
So, my unexplained death on Taygeta 4 has me a little perplexed.
It's a nice looking world - Metal Rich with a ring, 3.15g, silicate volcanism, shades of purple.
Didn't take screenshots or coordinates but I think a previous poster has of the same area.
There is a large yellow rectangular area which aligns almost exactly with 3 large craters - the middle crater has what appears to be a collapsed volcano, with what may be lava flows on one side.
I'm aware of the hazards of High-G worlds so I fly very carefully, take it easy with banked turns, and don't pitch too much.
I investigated the volcano, a few random POIs without spotting what they were and then cruised on.
I've recently been using the debug cam to get a better view, making sure I'm at a reasonable height, and exactly level - cruised quite nicely without problems.
Then I spot a POI that doesn't look quite like one I've seen before but by then I've already flown over it.
Banking a little more than usual I turn around, losing altitude but I stabilize and come to an absolute halt - no lateral, vertical, or forward motion - completely level.
Switch to the debug cam again to spot the POI, I'm looking for maybe a minute but I can't seem to spot it.
So I turn off the camera, and suddenly I'm in a wildly spinning ship and the controls are completely unresponsive.
Inevitably I start losing altitude, bounce 3 times and explode.
Disappointing because the only other time I've claimed insurance was also slightly buggy but at least I could explain it - don't dock with silent running still on!
A-rated Asp Explorer with no power management issues.
I don't mind losing my ship if I know why but I can't really explain this one.
Questions:
- has anyone else experienced unexplained loss of control?
- is it exclusively on high-G worlds?
- any issues using the debug cam?
- other related weirdness

There is a large yellow rectangular area which aligns with a short side on the edge of a large crater with 2 more large craters almost perfectly aligned - the middle crater has what appears to be a collapsed volcano, with what may be lava flows on one side.

I've recently been using the debug cam to get better views, making sure I'm at a reasonable height, and exactly level - cruised many planets quite nicely without problems.

Should have gotten a shot with Maia B in the background
There's some pretty good views of it on, uh, I forget the exact designation, but there's a moon of a gas giant around Maia B that also has a moon of its own. Might be able to get an interesting shot with a moon, of a moon, with a gas giant in the background, which orbits a black hole that is also in the background.
DAMN now I want to go take a picture myself o.o
