in case it hasnt been said yet, check your galnet. there is an article about a signal recieved inside the maia system. something to do with a coded message. looks like it might be lat and long numbers and a short message. im still at work. sorry.

And swapping between open/Solo/Private will respawn the entire thing. Let the farming begin...

Just sold 5 Meta-Alloys at Obisdian Orbital. We should see if that helps with the issues.

Dont want to derail the topic, but that is acceptable (according to FD). The obvious solution would be if one or two players simply guard the barnacle from space while the rest is in the SRV.

They are talking about a large private group that has an anti-pvp policy as one of its rules, on open anything goes, the ban they are discussing isn't something FD would enforce, but the owner of the private group.

I also thought it would be in those "deposits" that you can see from orbit and it was, I think that is the key to the recognizable feature that can be seen from orbit that they are found within. those different coloured sections. Spent hours looking in them and didn't find any Barnacles though lol, even this exact place, they really are buggers to find!

leaving the instance and coming back causes the spikes to regrow, so they can be farmed!

Makes sense, but not much point in reporting to FD, its up to the Mobius Admin indeed.

well now that we've found some barnacles it seems OO is struggling:

I personally am going to sell my Meta-Alloys to OO and see if it helps anything!

Inspection of OO's market shows that meta alloys have the highest price of any commodity by far, over 84,000 right now.

edit: that was according to eddb.io, which is 8 hours old data atm.

There are special conditions I'd say, they are probably found on the different coloured sections of planets that I believe were explained as "Mineral deposits" in an FD video a while ago, you know when you get a small green or yellow section on a planet? I did theorize this could be the case a long ways back and tested it myself but obviously not nearly hard enough. It makes logical sense because they are probably processing materials for the construction of their meta alloys or something.

How do you know that? How does the finding of one, that MB said was one of the harder ones to find, mean you can answer for all?
