I read now Galnet.
What is the system @ 23LY from MAIA?
From my calculations, there are the following:
HIP 16996 : 22.1 LY
HIP 17000 : 24.51 LY

Are these data consistent?

I don't think we're looking for binary stars, but binary planets.

b?n?r? ??a??t
binary Planet

Edit** damn this thread is moving QUICK. Ignore my post :D

I was just looking at the galaxy map a bit with Barnards loop and surrounding nebula's. If you turn a bit with camera, you can get the Witchhead at the point of the arrow / triangle. Might we find more there?

HIP 23759 has 2 binary combo's, both landable. (2nd and 3rd planet and moons on rightmost gas giant). Maybe worth a investigation?

The more planets, systems, and nebulae we find with Barnacles, the clearer the picture will become. And it will become more clear that the UAs are not pointing at Merope because of the Barnacles. There is another reason, and barnacles are part of that puzzle. A puzzle which might take months and years to realize.

Agreed. Now I know what to sort of look for in a planet, its not aimless guessing in other Nebulae. Im going to give my search another week or so.

If anything my SRV and high G planet handling have increased immensely

I am tempted to swap from Elephant's Trunk to Bernards Loop. I was going to head further outbound to the next Nebula tomorrow but now its tempting to relook at what Ive recorded out here.

God Damnit, I finally found it, it was buggy for me, I was literally looking at nothing, tabbed out to type my last message here, went back and Hey theres the barnacles. I deployed the srv, it disappeared again, a few seconds later it was back, I got closer...game crashed.

Pleiades Sector IH-V C2-12? Weird, my map is showing no landable planets and 2 landable moons (not around the binary planets).

Here ya go:

edit: wait, is moon/planet a distinction FD/ED makes? They've consistently called all bodies you can land on 'planets', right?

Frontier
I think you guys should realize how a liar MB is. He said he made sure we would find it if we were in the right location. I have been asking where he made sure of that and he never answered. I have been at the exact fixed location and reloaded solo over 10 time and it never spawned. Switching to open get me to a destroyed spawn, and back to solo I get no Barnacle.

That means I wasted over 30 hours because of their damn losy developper and programmer skills to something that was totally boring and mind numbing, for absolutely no reason as I could never find it in solo.

Definitely out of of any of their stupid event and wish many follow that path.

Talk about a liar that doesnt double check what he says to his customer, even after clear questioning of his statement have been made.

Calling employees of Frontier liars on our forums is a swift way to getting your access to these forums completely revoked. This is the only public warning I'm going to give regarding these sort of posts. We do not tolerate harassment of employees on our forums.

Post respectfully and constructively, and we won't have issues.

Thank you.

I'm tempted to go with Electra. It has 2 Binary planets and a Blue sun.

This is just a smaller pattern I've noticed recently with the big UA mystery is the focus has been drawn onto systems that have a one word name such as Maia and Merope, so Electra would fit the pattern as I've not seen any systems that are made of letters and numbers being the focal point so far. Just an observation but I will likely make Electra my first stop too.

Holy hell...I've been trying to catch up with the thread for the last 3 days, and was still over 100 pages behind when this happened. Now I'm wondering...did I make a mistake heading out to explore with no guns? I may not be back for months...and with this happening what will I find when I return?
