UAs, Barnacles & More Thread 5 - The Canonn

Anyone thought about the barnacles relaying signals? We find one, we get a signal that was transmitted from the 2nd one... could there be a chain of barnacles approximately 23ly away from each other ... and could this chain keep going to the barnacle homeland? From what I've seen in the galaxy map they don't seem to point to any other nebula or region of space but right now we need to figure out where the next one is!

I am getting a sound-FX in ship at Taygeta 4 20/94ish. Beeps, ~3 per second, evenly spaced. Sound like the typical signal tracking device noise from '90s spy movies.
Never heard that before - any other ideas, maybe the black is getting to me?
Investigating if there's a change in loudness, pitch or frequency depending on heading/position.
Edit: Sound not audible in debug cam.

I think they may be shooting UAs into hyperspace. Gets a little hot when that happens probably.

that actually does sound plausible. they mine the materials to create meta alloys, use the alloys to create a UA, and it could explain the crashed anaconda too, it may have just been passing overhead when one launched a UA and was hit.

"Common in certain parts of space" huh? Starting to look that way after all. I shudder to think how many times these things have been flown over where they didn't spawn or weren't seen.

Exciting times for sure!

Maybe we need to find the system where some other nebula is in front of Barnard's loop, and it looks like barnacle logo? And that's their home?

Barnicle confirmed at JC-U b3-2 1 coordinates 21.93 , 96.98

I need someone to confirm Barnicles at JC-U b3-2 1 coordinates 21.93 , 96.98

If we're able to confirm that we can pretty much say barnacles are causing malfunction in electronic systems, that made the anaconda on na 20.86 , 91.73 crash !s,
We are starting to understand the reason why so many stations have been experiencing malfunctions!

And another confirmation from me. Nice find :).

I don't know if this is a common bug or not but when I was at the barnacle site I suddenly received module damage on everything after a while. And it wasn't even slowly dealing damage. I also have a recording of it thanks to shadowplay, but before I go trough the trouble of uploading it I wanna know if it's a known bug or something to do with the barnacle. I also had no cargo with me or didn't use silent running and was standing still so heat and corrosion are out of question.

Footage please. I will go to Solo and camp with barneys for a bit, see what happens.

I find it odd that the barnies feed on materials, and the conda was loaded to the max with the rarest materials we know of. They also prefer nebula, which basically contain the building blocks for future star systems. This was not an accident...

I think you guys should realize how a liar MB is. He said he made sure we would find it if we were in the right location. I have been asking where he made sure of that and he never answered. I have been at the exact fixed location and reloaded solo over 10 time and it never spawned. Switching to open get me to a destroyed spawn, and back to solo I get no Barnacle.

That means I wasted over 30 hours because of their damn losy developper and programmer skills to something that was totally boring and mind numbing, for absolutely no reason as I could never find it in solo.

Definitely out of of any of their stupid event and wish many follow that path.

Talk about a liar that doesnt double check what he says to his customer, even after clear questioning of his statement have been made.

Thats what you get for playing in solo. Open is where it's at.

... relax, I am just joking. :)

Not sure if it's Barnacle related but I was checking out the landable binary planets in Pleiades Sector JC-U b3-2 and every time I tried to drop out of glide in the 2?.?? 9?.?? range the game crashed (completely had to end task) and when I reloaded I was at least 20 degrees away. Tried 4 times crashed every time.
