Just checked the coordinates from Galnet at Electra 2 and no luck, I did however hear a weird bleeping noise while in orbital cruise but I couldn't relocate it once I passed it. Moving over to Electra 1 next. I wish I could set a waypoint by the numbers rather than flying in circles to match alignment though.

First no one finds them for days and there were more searching

Also that's way outside the 'Nebula' according to the map

CMDR finds barnacle where MB pointed us to > triggers galnet post to find more barnacles and move the story forward.

MB said nebulae are good places to look, didn't say they were the ONLY places to look.

I don't know if this is relevant, but until today I while searching in the pleiades, I found a really creepy burned out SRV wreck POI.

Just wondering:

  • does the star type
  • the surface temperature
  • average distance to the star
  • if a moon, the planet type
play a role.
(in case this has been asked, its really hard to keep track ;))

Spent a little time with a UA and an undamaged barnacle cluster in Solo.

When I finally started shooting the barnacle spikes... seemed like it triggered the "angry whale song".

I rammed the central cluster before leaving, with my ship - seemed to trigger the angry whale song again. Left the UA there, and left.

Might be a coincidence; seemed worth mentioning.

Did we have a new power play cycle before this discovery? Maybe the frequency got bumped at that point? My guess is their "spread" is something that will increase from cycle to cycle until it reaches intended saturation.

can we get the current known barnacle locations added to the first page? I am having trouble keeping track and I am refreshing the thread every minute or so.
