Whiterose, I saw you on my initial approach to the planet. Got disconnected before I landed and it was empty there. Went back to menu and in but saw no one. Tried that several times. Exited completely and went back in, and got a busy instance. So... worth trying that a few times at least.

Had some more scares. After deploying my SRV for the first time I dropped below the surface and had to relog. Got another busy instance but took some SRV damage in the process.

I just landed there and it was full of players, the highest number I have seen so far. Went to look in Open and it was empty. I can't believe no one was there in open, so it certainly seems to be instancing problems.

Oh I tried everything, flying away, jumping to a new system, logging out, restarting ED, all resulted in the same thing.

I was there in group Kamzel until a few minutes ago, too. Was full of players, even two Cutters, and a lot of SRVs racing around. Was quite nice.

Which means that I can't do any prospecting or cartographics in advance. Two days isn't enough. I spent an entire week prospecting just one system CL PISMIS 13. It actually means I have to go even further on in advance to way points that I know for sure are going to be in a certain nebula if I want to contribute. It's not like I actually need the materials myself any more. I just wanted to contribute.

But if the organisers don't want people to do prospecting or cartographics that far in advance then they are reducing the amount of data that is going to be collected this mission in order to prioritise the social aspect. That's up to them and I'm not going to argue against that. But personally I won't be hanging around but catching up with the people I do get to talk to.

I said on discord that someone was going to die on this planet. A fly around i did needed a couple of emergency boosts when I saw the V decent get too high. Many more will probably buy it before the weekend is out!

I do agree Karla, message Erimus and ask if it's possible to be given a little more notice.
I am a prospector too and want to help people out because I have a little extra time.

I was alone as well :( First I got the coordinates mixed up so I went to the wrong side of the planet... Today was not my day :)
It's a nice planet though.

Oh boy, to share my log with you all. As you can see from the travel link in my signature, I started this journey in my Viper Mk 4 "Curious Lady". After making it a fair distance, I decided I didn't really like prospecting all that much in a surface vehicle and really wanted to be able to make a nice exploration trip without needing tons of jumponium. So I made a sprint back home, spent a couple of days bounty hunting to make enough for "Fantasia's Dream" and started out again. My plan was to catch up with the rest of the fleet by the leaving home event (Even though I can't play on Sunday so will miss the event myself.)

This morning I made it to WP 5 and made a landing approach before running out of time. I made a safe landing abort and headed back to system space, but will definitely make ground sometime just to say I did it. I wish you all a great deal of luck with the community event, wish I could be there!

Glad you made it back and I think you made I wise choice in the Asp Explorer. I love mine!

Hope you have better luck on Sunday. I can only say re-logging *eventually* worked for me, but I had to try that many times. I did note in my friend list, there were quite a few in open for a time too. I didn't check that out in the end.
