This is a great gesture. I won't benefit from it at all but it is still a great gesture, considering that we pay nothing for the servers and they struggle during the early weekend hours to get it up again for us, that's truly something.
Not being able to complete missions is just the same as not being able to hunt for bounties or scan systems and planets. It's all the same, doing missions isn't more valuable or important then everything else other people do. Just because you do that doesn't mean downtime is more unfair to you.
Greetings Commanders.
As many of you will know, last night we suffered unexpected server downtime which lasted for a considerable number of hours.
By way of a thank you for your patience and to cover any unexpected small fines due to the time delay, we will be running a 48 hour bonus credit period for all Commanders in the galaxy.
All mission reward credits, bounties and combat bonds will receive a 20% uplift when cashing them in.
Missions will show as the same reward but should add 20% as a bonus when cashing in. Bounties will also say the same amount has been claimed but will then increase in your transactions. As will combat bonds.
The bonus period will be available from 14:00 GMT (30 minutes time) today until 14:00 GMT Monday 1st Feb.
This will be applied to all platforms (PC, Mac & Xbox One)
Once again thank you so much for your patience while the servers were fixed. We truly appreciate your fantastic ongoing support.

Some players exploring missed a big meet up in Waypoint 5. That was worth a hell of a lot more to me than your 5 smuggling missions.I had traveled from the far-side of the bubble to Robigo Mines, waited 40 minutes to get 5 smuggling missions and I was in the LAST frame-shift animation to the destination system when the game crashed yesterday. No guarantee I wouldn't have outrun a scan while trying to port but I've never failed boosting away on all previous Illicit cargo runs so I like to think it unlikely I would have failed. Woke up today, get in and see all missions have timed-out (as expected) but see a notice I can do missions and get a 20% bonus this weekend. Wow.. I can do that run 5 times, taking 5 missions each time, and be close to breaking even. Ugh, not how I want to spend my weekend playing.
Players exploring didn't loose exploration data, players trading didn't loose trade goods, players fighting didn't loose bounties, but players doing missions failed their missions. I know there's nothing FD can do that will satisfy everyone but I think extending mission timers would have been a start. Then all losses would've been the same, not being able to play for a few hours.
Looks like I missed all the fun.
I was off playing BF4 and fell asleep at 4am. Luckily my kid woke me up at 8am.
No bonus for me either. Just cashed in 650k bounties, didn't get a single bonus credit.

The values in the cash-in screen will remain the same, but the amount actually added to your credit balance should be 20% more than shown. You can verify this by looking at your balance before and after.

I checked my balance before and after. I did not get the 20% extra.
