Echo - Voice Activation Plugin

I ran this on an impromptu stream for close to an hour last night. Things I noticed:

- Ran game in borderless windowed as expected. When mousing over to another monitor and bringing another window into focus (such as OBS), ECHO would rapidly minimize come back to focus, minimize, back to focus (repeat ad naseum) until ECHO eventually crashed.

- For streamers: In order to capture the game, (using OBS) I had to not use my normal game capture source and instead Use a monitor capture or Window capture solely on ECHO. In both instances (again, in OBS), make sure "Show Layered windows" is selected in order for both game and echo to appear. Worth noting: Simply choosing echo as a window source will display both the game and echo. Not as efficient as game capture source, but it functioned. I haven't had any luck simply adding ECHO as a second source (by itself) and placing it in the stream, since it captured both the game and the overlay.

- When trying to use command to Open Galnet, was continuously given "Command has error" response. Radio was working great, no problems with channel switching, but I've had no luck getting Galnet working yet.

- To those with "cannot find file specified error": I also had that issue on first attempt. Solved by clicking "Re-download" after signing in w/ the launcher, but before clicking "LAUNCH" button.

- Sliders for opacity on Helmet graphic and checkbox for hide helmet didn't seem to change anything.

Just my two cents so far. Keep it up, Olkan! I like the design so far. I hope you are having fun with this project. Good luck!

Thanks alot Rezri.
- regarding the bringing other windows to the focus: I will address this in the next update. the issue is that working without injecting the DX tread is a pain.
- for the galnet command, did you use my profile?
- I will check why the opacity and appearance does not work properly.

Thanks alot for you feedback and comments :)

Just watched the video, i noticed also that the radio volume is too low i can raise the volume but i thought it was too loud :D.

Just watched the video in the OP. WOW!!! This looks amazing! As soon as I'm back from my trip I'm installing this...

Great job Olkan!

One question though. This is an overlay right? It looks like it works like a dream with head tracking, correct? I guess that the menus only respond to voice commands, and are not select-able with mouse, or is it possible by alt-tabbing?

No it's not possible to click on the GUI elements, it works only with voice.

Im not sure why but it has completely stopped responding to voice commands. The interface shows that it is picking up my microphone but I cant open the radio or galnet. I also tried the redownload button on the app, but it still isnt working. Its a shame as I loved having the radio there whilst playing.

Hi Olkan,

Any update on the conflict with VA ? There are several more VA Commands that crash the software, as well as 75% and Boost, the phrase's 'Engage' , 'Landing Gear', 'Power to Weapons' has caused a crash, so unfortunately i have had to stop using it

Thanks

Hi Hurricane, sorry for the late reply. Did you try this?
This is a a readymade profile with Radio, Galnet and digital clock GUI Commands.

1. Extract somewhere.

2. You should have Data.xml file.

3. Copy into the following path: {YOUR DOWNLOAD DIRECTORY}\Talkative AI\Echo Launcher\Echo\Resources\Data\

4. Overwrite if asked to.

Download From

very intriguing... why does this make feel like just that kind of add-on added just a little little depth to the feeling of the game?? Just the extra interaction capability perhaps?
Ideas like this is what I wish ED could add later on in the future. Yes im one of those "content cryers"..
+1 mate

This video was created using the current version 2.0.0

I've created the character in the video using iClone 6.
Also I used Astra as a voice pack.

Hello everyone, I'm are very excited about the next update (3.0.0) which I'm currently working on, unfortunately there is no release date just yet, but let me show you what is new on this update:
• Using Unity3D game engine to draw the visor and the UI. This will open a whole new level of experience in terms of visual effects. Using a game engine will help creating a complex visual effect, it will also set the bases for the VR experience.
These are some screenshots of the elements that we try to add to the HUD

That was some of the elements that we are working on for the HUD. Note that the previous screenshots are work-in-progress that might change.
• Also with the next update comes the events tab, basically it will help you create commands when a certain things happen like when first loading the HUD. this can be used to open all your gadgets and like radio and set its volume for example, so that you do not need to issue all these commands every time u load the HUD. The events can be categorized to two main categories a system events and a game related events.
• Improvements to the variables system.
• Lots of other improvements and bug fixes.

That's it for now. Until we meet again
