Favorite ship design and why

There's no doubt that the Empire ships are all sexy asf. I own the courier and am aiming for the clipper - they don't really need paint jobs with that white coat, though I use a darker paint job for open so I am not visible from different star systems ;)

And damn...them interiors...

But that's the cool thing about Elite. I can jump in a courier, kit it out cleverly, enjoy that beautiful interior and never need another source of desktop backgrounds again, experience dat boost sound...and I can still take on ships that have a higher rebuy cost than I paid for my entire ship. Also, when you're looking down the nose of that courier and you're blasting something trying to get away from you, it's like...damn. I got you, son.

Outside of Elite, Destiny has some cool jumpships, even if you don't actually fly them yourself. Bane of the Dark Gods is pretty awesome, as is Vienna Singer, as is Agonarch Karve...there's a few.

I got a softspot for the Adder, currently out exploring with it.

It's small, cute, round, and with the graphite white paintjob, has a spaceshuttle meets winnebago feel to it.
It's my own little home from home.
It's just screaming to have it's boring central corridor from cockpit to balcony back door, paced up and down during the long hauls.
All the other ships, like the cobra have an unditerminal interior layout.

Not the adder, she's dependable, predictable, cute and get's the job done.

As for anything else... I feel like there should be something, but right now I can't think of anything else aside from the Swordfish from Cowboy Bebop.

Good call! I love his lighter fighter, but Faye's is pretty awesome as well!

In Elite I have so many. I am partial to the Viper MK3. Love the Clipper. The FAS has actually grown on me a lot even though I hated the look originally -- now it looks like a armored shark in space with sharp teeth to me.

Outside of this, I'm partial to the ship from Starflight

Non elite....I dunno, probably the executor class star destroyer. I mean, it's hard to beat a ship named "star destroyer".

in elite, my favourite by far is the clipper and the cutter

non-elite, the Romulan Narada and other romulan ships (they kinda look like clippers too actually)
