One time out in the black somewhere, I ran out of fuel at an unscoopable star. I thought I was going to have to call the fuel rats but I looked up and I saw Zulu Romeo doing a space walk outside my ship. He smiled at me and I just knew everything was going to be ok. He urinated in to my gas tank and I have not had to refuel ever since, and that was 2,348 jumps ago!
Another one I just thought of:
When Zulu Romeo scoops a star he does not get fuel, the star gets Zule Romeoed.

I am friends with the commander in question. (No, it's not me)
Firstly, she is female - seeing everyone refer to her as "he" is quite funny.
Secondly, no she has not actually fired a shot as of yet. Just interdicted people and asked them to leave the system.
Thirdly, she is reading this thread and honestly the more you insult her the more likely she is to start actually killing people. Something to bear in mind.
She is also not a griefer, there is a reason for doing it.

A minor correction to my previous statement as well, she has not actually interdicted anyone, just asked them to leave the system. OP just scanned her, saw weapons and assumed the worst.
Honestly I regret posting, I feel that people are taking their anger out on me. Don't shoot the messenger!

Ok everyone, my friend has declared sovereignty over the Sagittarius A* system. She is now the Queen of that system, and will be enforcing a new set of laws designed to protect all explorers in the system.
Anyone entering the system must have a permit, which can be acquired from the Sovereign of Sagittarius A* - ask her for details after you enter the system.
Anyone who is in the system without a permit will be asked to leave. Resistance is futile, and any hostile acts committed against the Sovereign will result in death.
If there are any questions, please let me know. Fly safe everyone

She is freelance. She is a member of my group but we are not at all involved with this - our operations take place solely in inhabited space. I also only posting here as her friend.
As long as you acquire the necessary permit to be in the system, there will be no issue
She is not equipped with a cargo hold, so that would be rather impossible
The permit system is used for your own protection.

Every other system seems to have a damn wedding barge spamming chat these days, guess it was only a matter of time before one found its way to Sag A.
good luck on your trip. if you manage to talk to her majesty, would you mind asking for a permit request cancel form link? I already sent my permit request form (I'm not even going, but she thinks I am muahaha, I'm so smart)..
actually, I need to cancel this permit request because I found a player that has proclaimed himself emperor of Sag A* for the alliance, it is so exciting! he wrote a comm in his website about Sag new status, but the webserver is down because is PC is shutdown now, he is at work.

More or less I agree. I'm not threatened by the self appointed queen and in fact I am somewhat reminded of Emperor Norton I, the famously self declared Emperor of America who ended up being considered kind of a social pet in San Francisco. People seemed to really like having a benign self made sovereign around and I am inclined to think similarly of this player.
Anyway she can't kill me if I don't let her.

So even if the reports were true it wasn't actually 'griefing' anyway?
Nowhere in the OP was there any mention of anything that relates to griefing, apart from the word griefing (which doesn't make it griefing), and yet the whole community is losing it's mind!

Tt could be a griefer not griefing here yet. The OP post is a call for explorers to take care -just in case-, and might just be my opinion, dropping a fully armed corvette in an area full of unarmed explorers asking them to leave if they don't -do as I say- permit request could well annoy more than one commander who just wanted to see the black hole ignoring all the politics involved. OP clealry said he saw no griefing happening, but the way all evolved, including the comms from friends and the reddit claim about using force unless rules were accepted could be still considered.. not-that-fair-play. I'm not saying it is tho, emerging gameplay is always welcome!
Well, there IS a historical precedent, more or less exactly on those lines. It wasn't Mt. Rushmore, though, it was San Francisco.

Well I do find that encountering another explorer in the deep @ss end of space rather cool. Although very rare, it has happened a few times. One of those times was at Sag A, but it wasn't her majesty the queen of loneliness, was just a nice chap who had been there for days to greet other explorers doing the great pilgrimage.
