Flossy. You and the Hat or anyone else should just get started picking up tea and making the run. I noticed some folks still received credit for their loads in LHS 3447 CG after the time expired. I'm guessing if you at least start the run prior to expiration it will give you the chance to deliver. Not 100% sure though but an answer from FDev about this could clarify.

how bout it FDev?
Oh I intend to get at least one more run in if I can, but hopefully with a full load in my T7 if there are some willing commanders to load me up! :D 311 LYs is a long way with only 10 Tonnes! :)

We 'live' in the same universe, regardless of what mode or platform you play. But instancing wise you will never meet someone from XBox if playing on PC

I stand corrected then. I am in agreement that it doesn't make sense to see bounties for players you will never meet, unless they plan on allowing xbox and pc players to play in the same instance in the near future.

- Wanted Xbox commanders can now appear in top 5 bounty local news reports

but why? its not like we can hunt them on pc...

thanks for the rest of the stuff.

It's a pity nobody has organised a class action suit against MS to stop them doing this. So far I've avoided the problem by being very careful about what updates I allow to be installed. I maintain a list of update KBs to deselect.

I am very careful with that too, and had originally set to not allow it to update anything by itself... and one morning, when I had an important meeting and still stuff to finish it just suddenly started the update while I was in the middle of doing stuff (that really annoyed me a lot). First I thought I may have accidentally triggered it myself (maybe some popup coming up and while I was typing I hit enter or space and that way accepted it), though I was pretty sure it wasn't the case. Then the same day in the evening, while I was away from the PC it suddenly updated my gaming PC too, and that time I was 100% sure I didn't trigger anything, as I was away from the PC for like 3h or so with no input whatsoever...

[though I also have to say all in all am ok with Win10 so far, and I wanted to move to it anyway at some point, but *at the time of MY choosing*]

I am really looking forward to trying out these improvements in my DK2 later tonight. The side panel placement in SRV is a welcome change cos they get a bit annoying when your trying to soak in the environment.

I have still mostly been using runtime 0.5 as it gives me better performance and stability. Have to use extended mode and it doesn't have a output for others to watch but the fps is consistantly over the 75fps threshold (with med graphics settings) in stations and on planetary landings.

When using 0.8 I find the tracking camera stops responding randomly every 30-60 mins and my 970GTX, 16GB RAM, quad hyperthreaded cpu just cant keep a stable 75fps (on Med graphics setting) when at stations, especially if more than 2 ships are visibly docked too. Shame cos 0.8 has the advantage of using direct to rift and giving another output for others to see.

Has performance of 0.8 or higher been improved? We will be seeing runtime 1.0 coming out real soon and it would be a massive shame if performance was still better in 0.5!

0.5 works with extended mode and output on the monitor. Google stereoextradisplay and you will find instructions how. Although, it's really a moot point now.

Quick update to keep you all in the loop.

We've hit a small issue in deployment which the team have been focusing on. Everything is progressing fine but it does mean that the servers will need to remain down for a little longer. We're estimating up to a couple of hours but we'll keep people informed as we know more. :)

Thanks,

Zac

Gonna do what you gonna do, just do it :)

So the OSX client says: client to old / client to new. Since this will be my first update, will the (OSX) client auto update once the server update in ready?

I actually agree here......... surely the point of the bounty board should be bounties you can claim.

Dont get me wrong in ALL other things i believe in neutrality among modes, but surely the bounty list is a bountyhunter aid, not a willy waving score board,

that being said, it can never be that reliable as a player can log out or swap modes at any time... still, i think it could work, esp if each name was a hot link to click on with more info with a "last spotted jumping to Y X minutes ago and also sighted in" (and listed a handful of recent systems they had visited in the current session) I guess all of this takes bandwidth and server space however

since this "feature" came in it has only ever displayed PC commanders.... even on the xbox.... at least now it can be useless across all platforms...
