I've decided to dip my toes in the Black, and headed out to Albireo in my combat-tooled Cobra, the Insolvent. All going well and got there safe and sound (chose it because it's one of my favourite telescopic doubles IRL).
One question though: I'm currently at the snappily-named COL 359 SECTOR BP-Y C1-12 and there are a couple of gas giants at the edge of the system that just read 'Unexplored' and have no 'First discovered by...' tag. I've scanned the first of these but beyond categorising it as a Class 1 Gas Giant there's still no 'First discovered by' tag. I realise that since I'm less than 500Ly from Sol I'm unlikely to find anything new (although you never know) but could someone explain what's happening here? I assume that if I were the first then my name would now be on the tag...or do I have to return the survey data first?
Sorry if this is a really, really basic question.
