Megabucks

That's not true. Let's say without a KWS, an Anaconda's bounty shows as 200k. The KWS will push it up to about 260k. That can be doubled if you reach level 5 PP, so it increases to 520K of which 10% won't show in the bounty claims above because they have to be claimed in Empire/Alliance space, so the 520K goes down to 480k. That's 240% of the original bounty, not 400%.

For all you skeptics, those claims are genuine, and the above has reminded me that there's another 10% still waiting to be claimed.

As a few of you have asked, I'm not going to make it easy by spelling it out in detail, but I'll give some clues: First, you need level 5 PP and a KWS for the 240% increase. Without it, the 400 million payout would only have been 170 million, although that's still a lot of bounty money. The next thing you need to do is go to a HI RES and do everything you can to encourage the pirates to come. I'm sure that if you do a bit of research, you can find out what to do for that. Then one more thing: There's a clue in this picture that shows the pirates swarming in. That's six Clippers in front of me and there's another six big ships behind me, all waiting to die:

Why do you leave us wanting like this?

The PP rank 5 won't happen for me, but 20% still helps, and I think I see the trick now. I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

This is one of the reasons I really want module storage in the game. For example: the Anaconda is a great multi-roll ship. However, outfitting it for different roles is a huge hassle. Because if how expensive outfitting the Anaconda is I always buy parts for it in Li space. That's means if I want to change my Conda from, say, combat fitted to exploration, I have to fly all the way to Li space just to outfit it or I'll lose money. Same goes for when I outfit it for combat again. 15% is huge when you're equiping modles that costs between 50m-160m. If I could store my modules while changing loud outs the issue would be solved, but with selling then as the only option I have no choice but to a) travel 170Ly every time I want to reoutfit my ship, or b) take a substantial hit money wise and wonder why I even bothered to outfit it at 15% discount to begin with.
Agree completely, 100% with this. It needs to happen.

Welp, you already lost me. I was really hoping to learn about a way that didn't turn ED into my second job.

But hey, thanks for posting it up anyway for those who are interested. I just don't have the time, patience, or will for Rank 5 PP.

Yep.

I ran away from Hudson space when I became aware of this a long time ago and haven't looked back.
It was also the time I saw PP for what it truly is, and that just one big merit grind to get mass amounts of credits.
I'm sure they get it to work better in the future at some point.

What trick are you seeing? Because I'm only about 80-85% sure I know what his trick is.

If it's an exploit, report it.

Holding up a candied apple to the forums and saying "I found a way to abuse game mechanics" is a sure fire way for commanders to relish the opportunity to abuse it, then Frontier will spoil the fun, and remove it (potentially busting legitimate income at the same time). Because that hasn't happened in the history of ever, before.

Report it. If it's considered legit by frontier, share the love; then folks can enjoy the windfall, before frontier apply an update to remove the scenario that creates unexpected stacking effects.

"Too fast, too easily"? Nothing in the post tells just how long it took to accrue the numbers :D

All it tells to me is: "you can get a bunch of CR if you do this", and nothing else.

Yeah, I think what you can do is get the pirates wings to fight each other and he can tag them all before they die.
I haven't tried it but it can work like that in other areas of the game.

I tried something akin to that once. But unless I did sufficient damage to the target it didn't count, so merely 'pinging' them is/was not an option.

Setting aside the doubts over the bounties claimed I suppose this may be of interest to PP'ers or those considering pledging but for me I have never pledged and don't want to put that particular yoke about my neck. I can do a 1-3 mil in a hazres during a session flying a Vulture with low rebuy costs and have enough patience to let it rack up slowly.

If it's like that then I suppose we have time to KWS all of them while they fight each other.
I guess wait for shields down or low hull and go finish the target.
I'm assuming the AI wings don't switch target to the player and keep fighting each other.
And as someone has said, maybe drop gold for them to fight over.

I can only assume what he has done is increased the volume of bounties received in the same time period.
Be interesting to know because this looks like a smart tactic the OP may have uncovered rather than anything exploitive.

I have found that in other area's of the game that if you play as intended or find the hidden mechanic FD put in, we can earn the same credits compared to the power gamers.

Ah yes I see the bug.
You pledged to hudson... Happens sometimes I think it changes your ethics moral to -100 :p
How do you work that out? He supports law and order, and doesn't allow slave trading etc. He sends extra cops to protect you in his space too.

Hudson = Fed. That should explain it all. He's as corrupt piece of junk as corrupt can go - just like all the Feds. If you support Feds, you're as good as dead (= you're but an insignificant piece of junk in their machinery) - go Alliance or Empire.

He's corrupt alright, but so are all the others. It's a bit like what the guy in the film "Brewsters Millions" said in his campaign "Vote for none of the above", "Why would anybody spend millions on a campaign to get a job that only pays 60,000. There's got to be something crooked going on". They're all in it for themselves, which is why I don't mind taking a cut of their wealth by doing honest work. I play them all against each other to my own advantage. I've defected a few times. You should do the same.

Right, has anybody confirmed my methods by taking a couple of tons of gold to the HI RES, tagging an innocent ship to become wanted, and then cleaning up the swarm of easy high-paying targets?

He is a war lord. he bullies other systems , and been trying to start a war with the empire.

And become a slave under that fake emperor? Nah thanks.
