Edit: I suppose modern day slavery can be defined differently. Even though we are no longer whipped into picking cotton fields anymore, we could still be considered to be slaves just the same. Money is collected from us by the government (we serve them). Who then go and do what they please with the money. I guess in modern times its more disguised. We are under the impression the government "serves" the people, but in fact, it enslaves the people and instead serves those who control the government. Which would mean we are still slaves, just "modern day slaves".
Sort of. Less direct control, more market manipulation and inflation. "Wage Slaves," is the proper Federal term. :D

Imperial Slavery is less "Slavery" and more "Indentured Servitude". And yes, there is a very, very big difference.

That being said, OP is clearly pledged to Hudson. You can get the same thing pledged to Arissa. Huge bounty payouts + 50 million each week for being rank 5 = big bucks for the intrepid bounty hunter, especially when he's high in galactic ranking like he is now. Not really an exploit, as it takes a lot of setup.

...actually, I'm thinking now I need to start getting into Powerplay.

Don't do it man. I now do just the bare minimum needed to stay Rank 2 to keep the BH bonus, and even they I don't really care that much. If there is no expansion systems I'll just let my rank drop. PP is a mind-crushingly boring time sink/grind fest. I got to Rank 4 once, and just laughed at the idea of trying to go for Rank 5. Plus, the 50% merit decay is just insane. I don't know who approved that idea, but they need to me made to grind to and keep Rank 5 in order to keep their job at Frontier. They don't stay Rank 5 they get fired for not doing their job. Because that's what Rank 5 PP is, a second job.

it is a second job if you dont have a proper ship or you dont have enough game level. med and end game players can get rank 5 easy and keep rank in one day per week. PP rank 5 is not intended for casual players and not, it is not that second job.

If you can't do it, then you can't do it.

If someone does certain work by choice (voluntarily), can they really be called a slave? I was always under the impression that to be a slave, you are someone else's property and their servant (in other words you dont have a choice). If imperial slaves do in fact have a choice, such as sitting on the couch eating chips all day, then they really cant be called slaves can they? I'm confused...

I have said for years, they never ended slavery they just figured out if you let the slaves pick their own job and let them think they have a say in the matter they will happily work themselves to death for you.

If youre tired of running missions/deliveries, then PP might be a good change for a while. Its more combat oriented (thats if you want huge credits), but it helps having a large ship like Conda/T9/Cutter other wise lvl5 can be a bit of a grind to maintain. Trade Cutter works great, if its set up for pure trading in solo you have over 700t cargo capacity. If its set up properly for trading in open, you will only have around 500t. In solo youre talking 7 trips, so basically 1 a day. Personally I just commit 2hrs in one day, usually after the cycle and just get it out of the way, then I can just go to rez and stay there.

Also can be done in a smaller ship, I think its around 50% bonus for lvl4, which you can maintain with even a small trade ship. And 50% is still significant, combined with KWS it will roughly double your profits in haz.
