But it was not my Xbox, it was the game itself not responding. That was not my fault. This time, your controller stopped responding.

Please don't do it again. Cats are vicious and pizza is nice.

You said you were being attacked?
Perhaps your power plant was destroyed, you lose any control over your ship if that happens as you don't have any power. Could that have happened?
I think what the OP is trying to say is that on this occasion they were playing a max risk/reward scenario, and if they'd been destroyed through normal game play, fair enough. But this happened through game failure, so should be compensated. However, ultimatums never work. So threatening to leave the game over a single instance will get you a big fat nothing! Just chill and be reasonable an you'll get the response you want. By the way, if you're less than 10k CR from your rebuy can't you just deselect a couple of the upgrades on your rebuy screen?
P.S
Can someone explain the thread title to me
This is "unfortunate", not "irony". Common mistake.
Would have been kinda ironic if you had just changed your controller batteries, to prevent such a thing.
Fault or no fault, ALWAYS make sure you have left enough to rebuy, no matter what...
Also maybe his thrusters were shot out? That also would explain him not being able to move his ship.

He had already deselected all purchased modules and was going back to his ship fully stock. He was, however, short by just under 10k despite doing so.

But flying under your rebuy, is your fault. You have to accept that even acts of God won't mean a thing if you're above your rebuy cost.
- I did everything safely. I am hardlined. There was no other choice for me.
- I agree but I was so safe man. My strategy was foolproof. If you seen the gameplay you would understand.
- No I didnt record it, was too panicked.
- No controller access

[*=1]The title is to get attention, but this is correct. I did not fault on my own accord.
[*=1]I don't threaten to leave because I am sour I just acted out of frustration, I love this game and I lost something to a bug. I don't want to leave at all. I want to support the Federation.
[*=1]I was short 9,625 CR in my balance to be able to be eligible for the loan. Even after removing all parts I still owed the 9,625 CR. Do you know how mind lowing that is? My limit is 2.5m CR. (2,509,625 CR) = -9,625 CR
- As I said, as soon as I came out of super cruise my controller stopped communicating with Elite, yet I was able to open the guide on the Xbox no problem.
- An act of a game malfunction is certainly not an act of god.
It is not an Elite issue with your controller. Like you I have mine hard wired also & have had this happen on a few games.
Pull cable from controller & plug back in straight away.
More an Xbox issue than game one.
- I am 9,625 CR short after the final loan. I have no options here? I might quit the game over this.
- After entering a station via super cruise drop out, my controls stopped working for the game, although, I could open my Xbox guide and messages and everything and I was attacked and destroyed. I had some 204 Imperial Slaves for sale but I don't care about that, I care about how a bug in the controls caused me to lose a ship when I was doing everything by the book. This may be my farewell to the title. I paid for this game when it was in preview. I put too much time into this game so that a bug can ruin it for me.

mmmmmmmm the salty tears of impotent rage, don't fly with no money to bail your ass out. Something we have all failed to do at some time but anyway I will enjoy the moment of your failure with a little chuckle and a sigh of Noob
