TITLE: Loyal Imperials Support Majestic Construction

DESCRIPTION:
The construction of a Majestic-class Interdictor in the Mundjiga system requires generous quantities of tantalum, gallium and indium. Threats of piracy and violent protest have already descended upon the system.

To counter these threats, the Praetorians, a collective of ex-security contractors, have committed their forces to defending Mundjiga and traders operating there. Loren’s Legion, an extension of the Prism defense force, will operate jointly with the Praetorians, protecting traders sourcing tantalum from Prism.

Duke Alden Rowe, leader of the Praetorians, made the following statement for the press:

“Loyal members of the Imperial Navy Auxiliary, we cannot allow interference with the construction of this critical asset. We must enforce the law of the Empire and the will of our Admiral by protecting vessels delivering required cargo to Sagan Port. We will be the shield for this new Interdictor until it is ready to be a shield for the Empire.”

Question to Ian. I know you won't have a direct answer but ... is there any chance that we'll ever get the ability to "subscribe" to specific local news feeds? There are quite a few systems that I'd love to keep tabs on but, being out in the Formidine Rift, I just can't. I'd love it if I could pull into Lave, subscribe to the local news, and then get future news articles published to Lave directly in my Galnet feed.

Oh ... and a second question I've been meaning to ask for a long time: Are there any algorithms used for injecting player created news items into the local feeds? Right now I can ask "Please publish at Altair, Sol, Zeessze" but is it possible to ask "Please publish to all Federation democracies"? Just wondering if the news has to be injected system-by-system or if you have access to tools that populate items based on system/faction profile.

Thanks!

This is very much on our ‘to-do’ list, but unfortunately it’s quite a long list, so I can’t promise it’ll be implemented any time soon!

They’re injected system by system, which is why it’s generally better for you to specify exactly which systems you’d like your story published in.

Thanks Ian! Both answers a great to know!

- Date and time for the news item/event
Anytime in the next 7 days to Galnet please

- Title – This should be brief and include the location in the form of a system
CMDR Elenar recovering in Paras after fall.

- Description – This should ideally be no more than 150 words
Today news reached us of a nefarious plot to injure or kill our beloved Prince just before the start of the Wildcard Games where the Achenar Immortals intend to participate. CMDR Elenar had not been seen since the Voyager Run celebrations and rumours had started to spread about his disappearance.
Head of Security CMDR Minudra had this to say.
“Prince Elenar is recovering after a trip on oil found across the floor in Lady Justice’s hangar. All the Imperial Slaves have been questioned and none can explain how the oil came to be on the floor. The Prince has hurt his back but is recovering quickly the Doctors say.”
People are asking if this is some Federation plot or if another faction may be involved.
We wish our Prince a speedy recovery and remember ‘have you basked today?’

Would you be willing to update my signature on that article with the "Loren's Legion" tag? If so, thank you again!

Where is Aasha Singh?

Date: 25/4/16 or when convenient
Title: Where is Aasha Singh?
Location: GalNet - this is lore associated with the planned Wildcard event.
Description:

The Empire's most famous former slave has gone missing. Aasha Singh, known for her rescue from pirates, has been living a quiet life in the Munshin system. Since arriving there to assist in refugee relocation 8 months ago, Aasha has worked diligently on behalf of the galaxy's displaced peoples. She has risen up the ranks of the local Munshin government, Libertas Cooperative, and was dispatched to the LFT 37 system in February 3302 to assist in relocation efforts of the freedmen at Onnes Gateway. That is the last anyone saw of Aasha Singh.

An investigation by Libertas Cooperative revealed that Aasha boarded a crimson Imperial Clipper with a contingent of freedmen on the 25th of February. The flight plan and her communications indicate that she was to return to Munshin with several hundred freedmen for relocation to other parts of the galaxy. The Clipper arrived at Ocrinox's Orbiter with 240 freedmen but without Aasha Singh. If anyone has information about her whereabouts, please contact the Libertas Cooperative of Munshin.

TITLE: Friendship Pays Dividends

DESCRIPTION:
Lave Station reporters recently collected candid statements from members of the Pilots Federation. One notable interview with rare goods trader Norman de Plume was published in the Lave Herald.

"Almost every pilot knows what it's like to be harmless, penniless, and aimless, with nought but 1000 credits and a borrowed Sidewinder to their name. From there, people find their niche and do their thing. But very few make it very far without friends."

"Take me for example. I've been interdicted more times than I can count, but I've never been pirated. How? Well, it's all in how you treat folks. I offer my would-be pirates a job and a share of my profits. I get an escort, keep my cargo, and we all feed our families. Never been turned down.”

"Doesn't matter what career you choose, you treat people right, you'll come out ok."

Norman’s motto? “Friendship Pays Dividends.”

Moves afoot to secure Blod
(for publication now, or when possible soon-ish)

With the recent readmission of the system of Blod to Princess Aisling's protectorate, her loyal commanders have begun moves to eradicate the nest of pirates running amok in the system. Various agents have been dispatched to Blod to link up with the primary corporation in the system, Blod Public Systems. The intent is to wipe out the pirate forces currently occupying the system's major facilities and return the rule of law and Imperial protection to loyal citizens of the Empire.

Any commanders wishing to assist in this glorious effort should pick up assignments from Blod Public Systems at their current base at Flagg Relay.

CMDR Cori Celesti

(for publication in Blod)

/tips hat, hello folks. nice to finally have the time from work to peruse the forums once again.
anyway..

Time Frame: soon as you guys are ready, thanks
System: LP 339-7
Heading: Starship Enterprises lends a hand to Blue Creative.
Body:

In recent weeks the systems newest and fastest growing corporation Starship Enterprises has been focusing its efforts on strengthening their corporate allies Blue Creative. Trade routes between so-yeon, gell-mann, and gilgamesh have been fortified heavily, whilst the SE Mining division have been bringing precious metals into the blue creative processing plants in gell-mann ring. Meanwhile, efforts have been made to quell the criminal activities in the outer system, using Chapman hub as a launch pad for the SE Gunslinger department to ferry out miscreants.
Dr. Lewis Chapman, CEO of SE, has been once again spotted engaging in talks with the executives of Blue Creative, although nothing is currently known about the content of these talks, common speculation throughout the system is that Blue Creative and SE will eventually merger. Dr. Chapman declined to comment when questioned regarding this matter stating only that,

"I have been born and raised in 339 and consider this my home, My corporation will always be based here but I must also consider the future, I know everyone is interested to know what is going on behind closed doors and I can only say that as soon we are ready, a statement will be released to the press"

Even if Dr. Chapman was unwilling to talk about the future of his corporation, it is clear that at present, Starship Enterprises has been moving mountains within 339, with blue creative seeing a significant rise in influence over the recent weeks.

Title: The Canonn - A year in the making
Location: Galnet
Time: Thursday 28/4 please (that's the anniversary :) )
Description:

A statement from Dr Arcanonn has been released to the media:

'A year ago today, I inadvertently started what is now known throughout the bubble as the pinnacle of citizen science: The Canonn Interstellar Research Group.

My colleagues and our associates have consistently led the way in UA research: discovering and decoding their morse code signal; then finding the 'UA shell' 135-150ly around the Merope system in the Pleiades. More recently, we've also been researching the Barnacles that have been discovered at many locations on 5 planets in the Pleiades, work which still continues, with new Barnacles being found every week.

I think this next year will see some outstanding questions being answered, but more mysteries being uncovered. If so, it will be as exciting as the first, and you can be certain we will be there, working from our new lab in COL 285 SECTOR IX-T D3-43, helping to lif the veil for the rest of humanity.'

Happy Canonn Day!

Commander Lord Zoltan
