Your TOP 3 wish-list items for the Elite...

1) faction ranks mutually exclusive. You can NOT be both Admiral (Fed) *and* a King (Imp).
1.1) some sort of meaningful rank structure for Alliance
2) more science.
3) when we get alien species in the game, let us join their ranks - whether it meant opposing all the humanity or not.
4) drop 'balance' between ships/gear, completely - and turn deaf ear/blind eyes to anyone who cries for 'balance' between ships/gear.

Remove solo and private group play, lets get everyone out into the open and be a proper mmo.

That'd just make all "solo-only" players stop playing, and probably a plenty of group-only folks to do the same - except if they implement PvE/PvP "flagging" (which would make private groups obsolete anyway, and bring those players into open to meet).

I just keep on flying, even in the same system sometimes. Or head to the next system over. Some people take advantage of the, well, can we call it an exploit? Of jumping in a sidewinder and getting killed.

Don't know anyone who would actually not play for days because of a bounty... its just bizarre.

I guess you must just be a much better pilot than I am. If I'm in an extraction site doing a bit of bounty hunting and someone kill warrant scans me, I find I've got a radar full of angry red lollipops and I've got to get outta there.

Of course I could do the suicidal Sidewinder Samba, but this is a thread asking about what we'd like changed in the game. I'd like to go back to the old judicial system. The current system of a one week cool down just makes no sense to me.

1) Open PVE mode
2) NPC Interdictions that make sense, not this random junk we have now. Less random combat.
3) More stuff to see and explore, I like many of the ideas in this thread!
 
1. Option to join my faction instead of "empire" If i join my faction i'm still empire you know :p
2. Any star should be hot. I can fly through a solar flare without a problem.
3. Better friendship drive for my Python. 17 ly... :(
 
1. A more combat-effective Federal Corvette / Imperial Cutter, especially for PvP. (Seriously -- it's been months. It's time to give big, expensive ships a more distinct and more meaningful purpose, Frontier)

This is a very good list!
 
Only three? Well alright.

1. NPC crew/wings.

2. Better mission reward structure and more involved mission types.

3. more types of stations, capital ships (ie giant freighters, generation ships, etc) and other assorted background features to make the game world feel lived-in instead of an empty wasteland, even in supposedly populous systems.
 
Now that we are about to get three of the things I wanted the most - NPCs with faces and some kind of persistent NPCs in 2.1 and passengers in 2.2 - my remaining top 3 wishlist would probably contain the following items:
  1. (persistent) NPC wingmen and crew members (with faces!) for hire
  2. real time ship transport between stations (for some appropriate fee)
  3. (walking around) interesting procedurally generated station and ship interiors (with lots of details, interactions and variation)

+1000 And this even more! Balancing has become one of my most dreaded words when talking about game design. Even Blizzard - arguably the grand masters of balancing - couldn't do it in WoW without completely loosing all distinction and variation between character classes - and that wasn't even a game where you pay in-game money for playing a specific class. In ED, where all ships have different prices - "balancing" is as out of place as it gets /rant

2) Terraforming/colonising path that will improve the exploration mechanics and gameplay.
3) Passenger mission really involving NPC and mission variety, a new career in this case (Beluga - Dolphin).
 
1. Land on ELWs with flora and fauna. Atmospheric dogfighting.
2. Get up and walk around my ship. Walk around a station to interact with their services. Get out of my ship or SCV and walk around in a space suit. Boarding disabled ships.. Hunt game on an ELW. Get eaten by a 3 eyed T-Rex 5000ly from home.
3. Buy a residence (or several) and customize it (them). Customize the interiors of ships. Customize my character's appearance, jacket etc.

only got one thing... i want my damn hudson bonus back.
im back at rating 5 after a long break, but i dont earn even near the amount i made before.

why should i invest 8 hours of work, when i dont get payed out enough.
 
Sensible response

only one really - a large, broad, holistic reworking of the Crime and punishment system. To include the creation of Pirate ranking, licensed bounty hunters (who go after player pirates) with rankings. Single system police licences (scans turn them criminal), huge bounties for PVP murder that are then assignable to licensed bounty hunters for a hunt that might take days. NPC ship need to obey the same rules we have to. would make PVP a proper thing.

oh don't forget Thargoids.



TBH i have posted several times in detail on this and it remains my main issue (i do love the game though)

Maybe 2.4 will be "The Hunters" - i can dream!
 
- tight connection between BGS and players including outcome of conflicts and bubble-expansion, this including player-built and player-driven stations and markets, including production chains
- removal of all inconsistencies (cheating NPCS, POIs @ 12K LY etc.)
- atmospheric stuff (spoken npc-messages etc.)
