Fixed an issue where Star Marine as active in game.

Fixed an issue where Star Marine was already released. Phew! Thankfully they crushed that annoying bug.

EVIL Star Marine insists on release itself! ugh, disgusting!

Changed the colour of the gun racks! I can't believe they have an office in Austin... :p
Not a bad sign tough, as the patch notes become more about minor tweaks and fixes is as they approach a release build to push (on this case to PTU).

Well, allow me to inform you that 2.4 is set to be on 2.4.0f currently, being the last public Patch Notes from 10 Days ago, version C (the owner of that website decided to stop pulling data from PTU patches publicly).
I had checked on that now, wasn't aware of it either, will try to get hold of one avocado later and see how's it going! o.o

Yeah, they can have as many small improvements and goodies as they want, as long as we start seeing the complex system interactions that will give us all that immersive-factor we're after.

These are patch notes and as patch nodes go they're okay .. assuming it was made in reasonable time.

Who knows, maybe i get to install this game for the first time some 2 years earlier than I thought i would. God bless all those concept ship purchasers, if they can just keep this up we'll eventually have the game of games. Even if it takes dozens of years. :)

It was a response to the comment you made for the patches posted here.
Not the ones you conveniently moved to suddenly.

The way you are bothered by my post is really up to you and irrelevant to me. I understood the posted patch as one of the late ones (that is usually when they enable AC after testing the PU) but turns out was one of the first ones, from witch i refrain from what i said on that first post (hurray!). As we were discussing old patch notes and we don't know where it stands today.

So why is so little functional in the released versions?

It's pre-pre-pre-Alpha in the very early stages of development. The unintended release of Star Marine broke all the magic Germans coffee machines - so now it's back to the original plan of SQ42 as the BDSSSE as an interactive movie on 42 CD-ROMS :D

You'll need a 33MHz 486DX to play it. You people without an FPU don't deserve fidelity :) 16MHz 386SX support is a $120 million stretch goal :D

2.4.0g has been released to the PTU, according to Reddit. NDA is off.

Impressive. Though, I feel for the network engineers that will have to make this mess working flawlessly for any players in any situations.

Is he flying around holding a rifle? There's a lot of jumping about in that vid, will you be able to pull people out of hyperspace and fight them?

IIRC your ship will automatically drop out of Quantum Space if there are enemies along your route. Also, there will be weapon systems that specifically disable the Q-Drive.
