Whatever you do I suggest you keep those Jacques Stills - now he has gone missing, we might be able to deduce his location by seeing how the sell price changes - cheaper = closer and vice versa. Maybe even tea-bag them out to a cooperating search posse?
let's see how FD follow the story line, but the above idea may be useful?
Edit - has anyone tried searching 'Jaques Station' in the Gal Map - it use to be a way of finding him when he moved previously - I assume the story-line means not that simple. I'm away this w/e so can't check anything myself

The Indi Bourbon CG put at least two of the source stations into expansion.I wonder if economic boom will increase rares production - many of the rares stations are constantly either in boom or cool-down after a previous boom. Could be good for better spawns.
Jaques will be back. Probably not to Gliese 1269.

OK I just picked up some Soontil Relics and I thought on the way out to Khun, I'd drop one off in the lave area pick up all the ones from around there and then go sell them at Khun. Come across a few problems though...

I concur, nothing in Leesti - I thought I was doing something wrong, been out of the game for a few months completely forgot about the faction changes - just hopped back into my asp for a whizz around my old stomping ground too. There was no single leathery egg at Zaonce 'Ridley Scott' either, not that that's a deal breaker but its where I got my new asp so thought I'd check while I was there

Sorry but can someone explain to me why there sometimes is and sometimes isn't the rare commodities, I'm guessing it's because of the ruling faction, i.e. some goods which are say legal drugs the controlling faction doesnt like so don't allow sale of it while they are in control of the system/station.
And one more thing, what is the significance of a BOOM in relation to the rare commodities, cheers ;-)

Prior to 2.1 it was just the ruling faction, and so some rare commodities mainly from the legal-drugs or weapons categories kept disappearing due to the controlling faction suppressing them.
This has led to some player groups creating anarchy or independent dictatorship factions based in rare-goods systems to keep them unlocked (for example the Guardians of Tranquillity in Tarach Tor) and also the thread /group dedicated to unlocking suppressed rares: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=237033
However with 2.1 something has changed, either intentionally or due to a bug and suddenly lots of rares have vanished even from governments that should allow production. So we're collecting as much information as possible to see if there's a sensible reason for the vanished rares (and how to unlock them again) or to report the potential bug better to FD.
FD have stated that economic states eg BOOM or WAR will have a more dynamic effect on the commodity market, so we're reporting the states of the systems to see if that's the reason for the missing rares.
