So she clearly commented on few problems why ship got into trouble. You can really hardly blame her NPC AI code for that. If that's OP weaponry you complain about - then report it as bug.

Why this is even still a subject for Christ sakes?

Ask and you shall receive, people were asking for proof of its existence, voila, I provide.

I've already created a bug report of all of the issues, and have been working to differentiate between the AI and bugs.

When a dev openly states that it's A-Okay, and then goes back on herself, people should start taking that seriously, as opposed to the consistent insults being slung by some of the "extremists" as one person put it. One or two's okay, but this is getting hilarious.

Yeah, I noticed that by now. I already reported thread to mods. I hope they close it for cool down because it is obviously goes in circles for long time.

And yeah, ignore list.

"I DISAGREE WITH YOU SO YOU'RE TROLLING AND I'M GOING TO IGNORE YOU".

That's the problem with fanbois. Can't help them.

There are entrenched positions on both sides. Extremes attract other extremes. The game isn't perfect, nor is it a massive failure. People aren't leaving the game in droves, nor is this game a best seller. Neither side is right. Its in the middle and the hyperbole is reaching critical mass.

"So you 'Git Gud' guys answer me this question..." is provocative
"So what am I supposed to do when my pimped out corvette goes to 0.2% hull when.." is pointless

What's the point of these questions?
AI bugs =/= as intended.
AI bugs =/= no one has defended

Actually, that is not quite true. A vocal minority here insists that everything is fine and working as intended. There is some evidence that that might include SJA.

Tell me honestly, you think that 600RPM on a Plasma accelerator with no overheating, no reload, and no ammunition counter is "seems to be over the top" or is it broken?

Its either a bug (which will be fixed) or its working as intended.
If its the latter, then seems to be over the top imo.
This is a game. Its totally broken and therefore doom is coming posts are a bit to melodramatic for my taste.

@Agony Aunt

Can we please change the Thread Title to: "DISCUSS NPC ENGINEER MODS HERE". I think 99% of the people here agree we're arguing about weapon strength and not AI routines.

Then an we might get a lot more agreement. (At least until most Players get Engi a Mods too).

because people say its designed not a bug. because people see the vids and still say git gud like 10 pips in shields would help for very long. because people make assumptions that those of us here discussing this and even when we defend the AI and say but look at the instakill weapon get told we refusing to learn and adapt and everything is fine and because THEY havent seen anything in person we are lying and they are correct and all if perfect. if i tell you after losing a ship or nearly so in a hopeless situation which is no fun and where its put you off playing any of these insults and then a liar would you not react?

I said you can take your Python to a completely safe trade route and make millions an hour. :)
For some reason that poor thing is the love child between an ASP and a T9 and even pre-Engineers I got better results in a 80 mio FAS than a 200 mio Python doing combat stuffs.
It's a nice multirole ship, though - load up with collectors, go to USS and stack up on rare stuffs in no time, until the zombie apocalype passes.

Hmm..

That's hand-eye coordination, though, not overall reaction time.
And man, I got really bad with age. :(

Agreed. Most ppl complaining don't even know what they are complaining about. Its almost like RL.

Even if it was a weapon that is ment to be a ''tank killer''
I am not saying it is , all I am saying is both options (be it bug or not) are fine with me.

You could kill a Death Star with that firepower :) I watched the sequence multiple times, this has to be a damage/rate miscalculation.

No you post attacks without having arguments. Therfore you are trolling.
Case in hand:

After reading several of your posts and seeing that not one of them carries a concise argument - how about you shut up?
So we are assuming now? As none of the above Videos are created by the guy I cited ( and I specifically asked him how long it took the Eagle to take out his shields ) I assume you are illiterate or trolling.
That is not an argument derpster.
Are you really that dumb

Learn to read. You might manage just to look like an average idiot instead of the king of derpness...

Case in hand. As I had stated in my report, I shall cease responding to you as you are frequently violating Rule 2 of the forum code.

Good day.

Well she is the devil after all...

I'd be the first to scream AI in 1.5 and 1.4, but frankly they're SO MUCH MORE IMPROVED NOW. They actually TURN as well as my FAS like they should (FDLs and other high maneuverability ships), use boosts frequently, but guess what; they use less turrets, less SCBs (until Elite), and have less perfect aim than 1.4/1.5.

The only reason people didn't complain was because they could tank it so easily in 1.4/1.5 that they didn't need to maneuver. It's ridiculous. AI could use some better skill scaling but they are still fundamentally improved.

See what I mean? I agree a LOT of the reason this thread is toxic is because of poor naming of the Thread Title. People are defending the AI while others are attacking NPC death rays. So we're talking past each other.

In a better world, we should be arguing more directly and precisely about whether engineer mods are:

too strong
just right
not strong enough
other

This entire discussion gets more and more pointless tbh.

Both sides do not want to give in and the general attitude is lacking (mine included). I followed the thread up until this part, i officialliy sign out of it now.
If i find the time and nerv to write about all that is bothering me with the game i might come back and try another hopefully constructive approach, but atm. i am at the point that i have realized that this is Frontiers game and not mine and tbh. they dont have to listen to me or the others even if i think they probably should. But i also came to the realization that i as well have a choice regarding the game and i made that choice now. ED at its current state is not for me.

So, i wish everyone the best and good luck.

Cmdr James Razor,
signing out.
