T6 Transport

Mining Laser, Beam Gimbal.
Chaff, Point Defense.

4A shield (best possible with reasonable weight) and best possible FSD.

Advanced Scanner, Planetary scanner, SRV hangar, Fuel Scoop
Cargo bay & refinery.

The point is that this ship is for EXPLORING, but also some mining (usually while exploring) and trading.
I'm hearing even here how your ship cry "please kill me" in the dark grim space... [ugh]
I mean this build is so wrong, I'm not surprise u die in 5 sec. Even without it, this ship is usless, it can't do anything properly.

Nah m8 they just need more pips in their shields

I'd certainly be interested in your opinion as to why the build is wrong, detailed feedback can help others like the person you're responding to.

Are you trying to be a head, or are you already. Why everytime someone writes something about AI Defeat, the people like you "Know it All" somes and say "You havent properly fit your ship" Have you even faced these Cheated NPCs, Have you seen what they are doing to other NPC ships "2 NPC Sidewinder has killed and NPC Anaconda" in 20 seconds , just like that pufff. So there is something definitly wrong with the coding of the AI. They are not using the same physic rules that we have to obey in the game.

What will you say when ED makes and HOT Update and says "We have done some serious coding error, the NPCs have over power weapons and equipment, sorry for any harm done to the pilots" lets say they said this in 1-2 weeks, will you still accusing people "You have wrong fitting" ?

How "2 NPC Sidewinder killing Anaconda in 20 seconds" is related to AI? It's not. 4 small hardpoints killing anaconda in 20 seconds is related to bugged/op eng mods. People still can't see the difference between AI and bugged weapon damage/dps? Completly different things. Now thanks to people like you we will have AP (artificial potatos) instead of AI, because it's too hard to comprehend that better maneuvering ship don't magically increase weapon damage. But FD will nerft the AI because of that stupid rants.

You mean it's not built for combat. You're right. It's an EXPLORER and light trader/miner. It's not MEANT for combat. However, it does have a good shield, and should be capable of surviving long enough to escape an attack.

But again, my specific ship is only one of THOUSANDS we've heard about already in this thread. Your attempt to obfuscate the point of the discussion fails.

This is so laughable its untrue.

Lost my python due to the over powered and instakill npc. No word from Frontier on it at all.

Remembered this morning I had a viper stashed so thought okay will take the free sidewinder.

Launches and....attacked by a NPC which killed me in less than 5 secs. Federal agent attacking an allied federal player instantly on leaving the station.

What a complete utter load of         . Sorry for all those saying "you dont know how to play" blah blah blah yeah so what happens when restarting in the basic ship and your attacked by a NPC far superior?

That right there is a broken game.

There's a link to my ship's registration on the first page of this thread which contains build information for it in the off chance you want to try something else.

But yeah, as I said in one of my previous posts, just wait for the inevitable "rebalancing" and/or bug fixing pass if you're really all that worried about it. I haven't had any trouble and think you should be alright to make it to port, but that's just me.

Best of luck.

I do have a bit to add to this actually.. I got a hair today, and decided to take an Imperial Eagle (fully A kit) into a High RES. During my very short time there three things happened to me that I can only describe as bogus.

-I engaged an Anaconda (Deadly) what was already in combat with several security ships. Now, at first this went pretty well to plan. I was able to stay only a few meters from the engines of the Anaconda, keeping wel away from it's weapon arcs. Then it aggroed to me. It flipped 180* without changing course much faster than I was able to compensate for. I got away.. barely.. but an Anaconda able to track an Eagle in such a way?

-After a repair trip I returned and was instantly set upon by an ASP. This ASP had 6! railguns, which it used to one shot me. And by "one" shot I mean it fired them like machine guns and poof. I realize this is a known bug and I only mention it because it's relevant.

-Finally, the last straw for the iEagle.. I'm flying around and pewing stuff, holding my own and having a great time. Actually managed about 400k in bounties in not overly long of time. Then I engaged a DBX. Now.. I've flown one of these things. They are cows, considering their size. Pitch rate is awful. This DBS was able to out turn me in a dogfight, out pitch my maneuvers, and able to pitch fast enough to track me whilst I boosted past him at a range of less than 15 meters.

There is most assuredly something amiss here. That said, I do like the fact that the AI bothers to shoot back now. I actually have to fight as opposed to just plunking a grenade into a barrel. Just some of my recent experiences. Take from it what you will.

My build is irrelevant, since we've seen MANY posts in this thread detailing what's been going on. However, this is my setup now.

Bah... export from Coriolis doesn't appear correctly.

It amounts to this:

T6 Transport

Mining Laser, Beam Gimbal.
Chaff, Point Defense.

4A shield (best possible with reasonable weight) and best possible FSD.

Advanced Scanner, Planetary scanner, SRV hangar, Fuel Scoop
Cargo bay & refinery.

The point is that this ship is for EXPLORING, but also some mining (usually while exploring) and trading. To that end, I've made it as light as possible The shield is really to help with possible rough landings, but is also meant to let me escape an interdiction. At present, it's the best I can afford. I'm not sure I'd put anything heavier on the ship anyhow, as it would also mean a larger power plant and distributor.

This ship was jumped and wiped out in less than 5 seconds on one occasion, and that prior to the recent changes. That did only happen once, but now I expect it would be a regular occurrence.

Thanks for that. So I'm guessing something like this: http://coriolis.io/outfit/type_6_tr...p2l000306042245v62u2i2f.Iw1-kA==.Aw1-ATJJA===

I added the SB 0C as that's the only one I could fit without rendering the ship unusable. Looks like the T series is at the receiving end again when it comes to interdictions. I don't think you can squeeze much more out of it, save for getting rid of that laser and adding shock mines, seeing if that can slow down your enemies. Funny thing is, that your speed is good, it should be enough to get out of weapons range against most enemies, save for the fast small fighters. I'm guessing you never deploy hardpoints either, so that should give you a few second to boost away.

I'm really starting to think that T transports need better hulls, because this is quite sad. I like the little coffin, but it's useless at not falling apart :(

Ok - I've flown that ship. And I'm going to call , hyperbole, or extreme pilot error if you got killed in THAT ship (prior to 2.1 instagib bugs) in less than 5 seconds following an interdiction... unless your defense tactic was "ram the Cutter."

A T6 isn't an Eagle, but with decent thrusters it CAN move. Add chaff and a good FSD, and you could absolutely jump to another system before death.

Flown THAT ship recently?

Takes more than 5 secs average npc overkill death time to spool up your FSD.

it seems that too hard has final gone ahead in the polls

1) Too hard: 933;
2) Just right: 813;
3) Too easy: 120.
4) Other: 130.

Total: 1996

It's neck-and-neck between the "Too hard" proportion as it equals that of "Just right" plus "Too easy" put together.

I was looking forward to the 2.1/1.6 upgrade so much so, that I purchased the Horizons season pass at £19.00. Like everyone else I waited patiently for over 10 hours for the upgrade to complete, and then had a go.

I went straight into Horizons, and my first reaction was 'This is pretty good!' I even got 2 invites for Engineers, so I thought I would visit Felicity Farseer so off I went, got there and discovered that she requires 1T of Meta Alloys, after some research on the old internet I discovered that this commodity is as rare as unobtainium, but hey I carried on and did some normal training and missions just like I have been doing for over 6 months, then it began, blown out of the sky while trying to run killed within 3 to 4 seconds, I thought OK must have been a bug, lost 12 million credits (rebuy for my Python) and cargo, did a few more missions and then it happened again same problem, so I closed it down, thinking if I carried on I would eventually be totally broke and unable to play this game anymore, I prefer to wait for Frontier to sort these problems out before continuing, so I emailed Frontier for a refund for Horizons.

They replied within 2 days and gave me the refund, they said that they were aware of the problems and wished me well, this is the email:-

I'm sorry to hear that it hasn't met your expectations but I do completely understand the issues that are currently surrounding the updated NPC's. If you'd like to add your comments to the discussion, we'd be thankful for your feedback!

As you requested I've refunded your copy of Horizons to you for which you should receive a confirmation email soon.

Fly safe and true, Commander and if there is anything else we can do to assist you please let us know.

Kind regards,
CMDR Normandy

Now that's what I call service, and I will more than likely re-purchase Horizons and start playing ED again once they have sorted these problems out. So there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Well done Frontier, we at last have a games company that understands. This is a great game, I remember playing the original Elite on the BBC Model 'B' (I used to sell these back in the day) and that game was exceptional at the time even though it used wire frame graphics.

Looks like the poll is beginning to fall into the Too Hard camp, was pretty much 50/50 now the Too Hard camp is higher.

The way I see it, people mainly complain about two things here:

1. I get killed incredibly quickly by NPCs.
Yes that's a serious problem, but lets not overreact. There are some weapon bugs, I think we have all seen the videos by now. They will be fixed. If the AI is still too hard after these bugs have been fixed, they can probably just make the middle class NPCs a little less skilled and buff the police in high sec systems and things should be good.

But please don't confuse these obvious bugs with the "skill" of the new AI

2. I have to keep chasing an Eagle for 15+ minutes
.. usually the player is in an Anaconda and now unable to outmaneuver the Eagle. I think thats great! Thats how it is supposed to be. IMHO the solution to that should be a more sensible weapons loadout, such as turrets. But turrets need work and are currently very frustrating to use. I hope a turret overhaul is very high on FDs bucket list...

I think FD should fix the bugged OP weapons mods. Then we play the game for three weeks
and we redo a poll without mixing the issues (AI and bugged loadouts).
