Call of the wild - A list of pristine metallic rings

{"name":"HIP 36207","coords":{"x":-1.59375,"y":98.09375,"z":-220.78125}} Planet A1. A ring is metallic, B ring is metal rich.

Screenshot pending in a sec.

I checked out HIP 9519 recently, it is Metal Rich and NOT metallic. Also HIP 1933 has Low reserves and is NOT Pristine.

Just thought I'd let you know
regards
Capitan Ace Rimmer.

I am seeing this right?

Galactic average of Painite now 40508! I'm at a station with a sell price of 74061!!!!!

In fact, it looks to me like most of pris-met mined materials have risen in price since 2.1 came out.

Someone else mentioned the Painite price in the beta (another thread?), sweet! :D, just hope it hasn't got much rarer!
.
Btw, anyone know if the slow collector issue from the beta is still there?

Been sitting around and looking for juicy Bulletin board missions. The only ones that I've come across so far were for Osmium and the new metals Samarium and Praseodymium. Also there were some for 100-200k for the stuff you can mine out of the Ice Asteroids now (10 Units of Water = 100k), but not one single so far for either Platinum or Painite.

Same here.

I seem to be gently trolled by the mission boards which offer missions for whatever I don't have in my hold. Not seen anything for platinum or painite. Have seen osmium, all the ice mining things, and (I think) cobalt.

There seems to be more mineral types in each belt as well, maybe the 'A' refinery finally has a use!

Did a metal mining trip earlier, same config ship as pre engineers, although it seemed to take about the same time, their was less Painite, & less precious metals, & naturally more of the new minerals. So trying the usual PPPG (& just a little Os, & the 2 new minerals) resulted in me running out of limpets, I had to resort to the lower value minerals to fill up. I used to make 3 mill per trip (no mission board pay outs), this trip I only made 2 mill :(. Whilst I could of done better if I'd got more of the new minerals it still would of been down vs pre-engineers.
.
Btw, saw Bauxite for 1 of the mining missions!

Oh, yeah, my limpets appeared to actively faceplant a lot more than before. I burnt through them far faster than usual. I had a couple of fragments spawn inside the asteroid which suicided a load of collectors trying to get to them.

Things move surprisingly fast in the mining world.

Interesting, I didn't have a fragment inside an asteroid, but I have had that before, pre-engineers, looks like they haven't fixed that issue then!

Yes, mining is still fun after the update. We started mining in a wing. Scout ships equipped with prospectors and heavy mining ships to do the work. Very efficient.

News: (unless you already know) ED now netlogs the coordinates of visited system. EDDiscovery reads the coordinates and sends them to EDSM. So if your running EDDiscovery you shouldn't need to enter distances anymore. Quite a time saver.

Yep your right :), I should of mentioned earlier, but I've already done a few mining trips, seems the collectors are back up to speed, although they still take the long route back, anyway, they seem collect as quickly as before :S :)

I didn't know, thanks for the heads up :).

I've never mined before, so I guess I'm -noob in this regard. I've undertaken a few missions to provide Osmium/Bromellite/Methenol Monohydrate Crystals...and I have no idea where to even start looking for them to mine. Is there a resource that lists where these (and other) resources are commonly found? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated:)

I've converted my explorer Anaconda over to miner hybrid with a prospector controller & several collector controllers, and even equipped a decent refinery.

Hi. Osmium is found at metallic rings, the crystals in ice rings, as far as I know.
Maybe we can put a list of commodities on the front page.
