Are you truly so scared of losing you need to disconnect to stop it ???
It's not a matter of being afraid to lose. It's being unable to win. Who wants to play a game they will NEVER be able to even compete in?
Again, as I said before, this is not something I would ordinarily even consider. However, if I'm not going be given any kind of chance to fight or run away, then I'm not going to linger around and take a loss for no reason. If I lose a fight I
could win, fine. If I'm not going to be allowed to compete, then not fine.

Then why does my Cobra Mk4 survive just fine? Its the slowest slug in the game with the turnrate of a whale.
Are you panicking when this happens?
Besides, you are not guaranteed a win. Thats not a human right.
I don't understand this argument, "It's not a human right." What does that even mean? It's a GAME, it's meant as entertainment. In that sense, I have a "right" to be entertained by it. Expectation is probably a better word than "right," though. For the game to entertain me, there has to be some chance I can achieve success. Right now, there isn't. It's the same for MANY players.

Why the personal attack?
My point is that things are not impossible to overcome. The MK4 is not a combat ship so I dont treat it as such. I fight what I think I can beat and run from the rest.
Before 2.1 I could fight ANYTHING with ANYTHING. This has changed - and its for the better.
Choices matter now.
some people
I think it's a matter of people becoming exasperated with this elitist attitude that has bragging about how they can handle the AI with ease when there are clearly many who cannot. Thumping your chest and announcing how great you are can be a bit irritating.
(An unrelated aside... What the heck is up with these forums? When I am replying to a post and have to backspace to correct a spelling error, it will move the cursor up to the line above to continue typing, as you see above. Anyone have any idea why that is happening?)
