That'll be hilarious. Make sure you're actually trade fit and not using some weird combat/tank fit that no trader in their right mind would ever use (like 4 SCBs for instance...)

In the hands of a pilot that doesn't know how to equip it, how to fly it, and what situations demand flight or flight - you're right, they are useless. A pilot that knows what they are doing though - different story.

150 Million buys you a ship, that's all. It doesn't come with a "I WIN!" button.

I don't fit SCB's on my mission runner, just 3 boosters and 7A shields, 400 tonne capacity when I don't run the extra long range fuel tank. Reinforced hull for emergency's, it doesn't get used because the shields stay up.

You said yourself a trader is not equipped to fight and should flee and I agree.

How ended the story with the Clipper? Did he give up or did you manage to make him loose your trail?

I managed to give him the slip, jumped then emergency dropped, shut everything down/went silent and drifted for a few minutes, he never dropped back into my wake. This was a while ago during a CG in Sothis (or maybe Ceos) Never saw him again after that. He nearly got me on a number of occasions.

Nero despite several Conda pilots telling you different, including me, you just don't listen.

I think you should just rephrase your statement to - if you yourself fly anything above an FDL or Python the ship becomes useless. That I would accept.

Combat zones, haz res sites, ... etc is now closed for ships larger then FDL/python. You have a time to kill one or two ships and try to escape from viper or vulture or asp. Also Shields in Engineers is now made of paper. and there is a chance that OP NPC or Player will hit your hull while your shields is still active..... Complete Nonsense.

And Grinding ... Good god. I have strong filling that almost everything in this game made against player.

Conclusion:
if before update I was spending ~2-3 hours playing it on weekends. After update I'm spending 2 hours reading forums and reporting bugs vs 30 min in game.

Grinding is your decision as well as how you invest your time for ED.

I remember my first big assassination mission. I ranked around "basically knows what he's doing" in a Viper Mk3, probably 4 weeks into the game. Target was a Conda, for $250K.

A Conda?! It's great money, but those things are HUGE! Lots of guns! And I'm just in a Viper! OMG!! ...but it's great money...

I did take a bit of damage, but after 10 mins it went boom and I collected my fee.

So... here's the thing: If you can't fly your Conda better than a confused NPC, you're going to lose it. Choose a different ship that you CAN fly, or learn to fly the one you have.

I'm running a brand new Clipper (just bought it 2 days ago) and have it A rated with shield boosters. I have NO weapons. I have no real problems with NPCs. They interdict me and I just boost away until I can go back into FSD. I have not yet lost shields. Most of the time they don't even show up on scanners or are to far away to shoot at me.

I have almost all ships ;) so....

Now I'm thinking, why did I spent so much effort to buy Corvette or two of my Condas. Ok, Conda is still good for trading and mining...

777 will promised me a masterclass of "The Right Way To Use Pips In T9" and/or "Agility - not needed in right hands". Thank!

Today I have seen a lots of videos. Sides and Vipers and Eagles (that was amazing!) VS FAS/FDL/Condas. but I didn't see one where Conda can beat elite vulture/Viper/Asp. I like to see something like: "Federal Corvette - 30 minutes rampage in high intense Conflict zone".
