Which I'd be for too only that someone already invalidated it thanks to the smugglers. Only way to have it working both ways would be to limit it to mined cargo, which is currently probably not possible to tell apart from 'looted', like a random UA for example.I like the idea of adding "destroy cargo".
"Abandoned Cargo" is legal salvage for anyone else who decides to collect it. "Jettisoned Cargo" is marked as Stolen if taken by anyone other than yourself. If it is not supposed to affect limpet behavior, then what exactly is "Abandon" supposed to affect?

Basically, if you get pirated, you Jettison it rather than abandon it to increase the odds they'll be caught.
The trick is as follows: if you are attacked by a npc pirate you WILL be attacked. Even if you drop 700t cargo to a Cobra.I have never once had a pirate care if I jettisoned cargo at all, abandoned or not. They always just attack. Is there some trick?
I was mainly referring to player controlled pirates.I have never once had a pirate care if I jettisoned cargo at all, abandoned or not. They always just attack. Is there some trick?
Just and idea. Have been doing a lot of mining lately. Normally during my endeavors I come across more valuable ore than what I've refined already. So I jettison a few tonnes of cargo to make room for the good stuff. But I find after I eject them, my collectors just pick them right back up, ignoring what I want them to get. So I have to fly like a kilo away, eject, and fly back to be sure they aren't prioritized by the limpets. I noticed there are to options to eject cargo. I think if you select the "abandon" option, collector limpets should ignore them or make them the very last priority. Maybe that is how it is intended? What is the difference between "eject" and "eject:abandon"? Sorry if this is already a topic. I searched a bit but this is my second post and trying to still figure the navigation. Thank you for the consideration
