Please dont nerf the AI anymore.

As now, Elite rank aren't hard: they are just boring and unfun.

What is coming isn't a nerf: it's an improvment for the player and the game itself.
How is making low ranks and high ranks easy fun?
It just removes the learning curve and makes playing the BGS pointless , makes bountyhunting pointless

In what way did they make high ranks easy? They have mods again. They just spawn less and can no longer orbit you in a way that shouldn't be possible.
 
Subtargetting is a small thing to worry about when the 2.1.03 AI has been thoroughly gutted. "Master" AI is basically 2.0 AI that shots back. Harmless dies is 2 hits from my Diamondback Scout.

I have removed my modded Military Bulkheads and HRPs from my DBS because they are overkill. Though I will probably stop flying small ships now because the ENG distributor on them is TERRIBLE again. Actually I will probably just stop playing altogether because there is no challenge anymore. So I guess the rest of this post is pointless.

Casuals have 90% of the market aimed at them.
Every other space sim is aimed at them... I mean look at no mans sky , its actualy adevertised as being easy to play.

StarCitizen's AI is broken as well , but even if it was hardcore the small scale of the world just is not for me...

I dont care about loosing face at this point , the only reason we saw complaints was because users were not adapting to the situation at hand... they wanted to just have everythig handed to them.

You cant unlearn things , you cant learn to have fun with bad AI , but you can learn to overcome it. (I am handicaped and I can do it)

They made the game pointless because there is no danger anymore. It's just a theme park with bunnies and kittens everywhere. Lots of useless low rank NPCs. No one interdicts me in SC, not even in a pirate owned system. Can't get my combat rank up with endless Threat 1 USSs and Harmless NPCs.
 
Indeed, how dare they consider options in response to metrics and feedback? Maybe there's a reason for those considerations? AFAICT from reading previous statements, one goal is to make escape a viable option, and keeping the AI from just conking out your drive is one possibility worth exploring in that endeavour.

These whining threads are so tiring. The designers and developers are right here on these very forums and answering questions, but instead of asking questions, some people just get out the salt like      ing little babies that didn't get their chocolate.

Unfortunately they cried louder than we did because we were too busy playing the game. They won, the game is broken again. Fighting an endless war just to keep a video game from being stupid-easy is exhausting. If they really want a barrel-fish simulator, let them have it.

I guess I am too old for video games anyway. At least ones targeted at children.

Did you try an anarchy system; AI scaling changes will be most dramatically evident there.

High ranked NPC'S are more dangerous now. Interdictions had to be toned down, as they were out of control. The fact that they still base it on combat rank is ridiculous.

Hyperbole much?
 
It seems that FD really looked at the players statistics (number of active players, number of new players, number of old players playing no more after 2.1 etc.), did some math at the financial department regarding the future sales of next season pass etc. :)

I dont see my self as whining as I am not outright insulting FDev , I admire them and have spent a stupid amount of cash on them and dont regret it a single bit.

Even if the game went down south , the time spent was worth the 2000 or euros.

All I saw from them was shouting , intulding other players , insulting the devs , lots and lots of cap lock shouting and threats.

Just wanted to add my voice to the dont-nerf-the-AI club. Obviously this is a contentious issue, but I for one have been enjoying the enhanced AI. I've lost a couple of ships since 2.1 broke, but after the initial shock, it kind of adds to the excitement/unpredictability of interdictions or RES-hunting - and you get the feeling of achievement when you win a hard-fought battle.

No offence but it think it's wise to let the dust settle before stating categorically what the AI will do. Frontier may have changed what it's supposed to do, but they can be entirely different things.

So I'll see what it's like myself tomorrow; it's gone 1am here so time to pumpkin.
 
This is obviously a waste of time.. Reading patch notes that aren't there.

Low ranked ships are easier. High ranked ships have mods 100% of the time high ranked ships are more rare. Fixed the bug that allowed NPC's to constantly face you. The ridiculous amount of interdictions toned down.

Yes high ranks are rare , but they plan on making them dumber in the future ! they want to remove features from there code...
High rank NPCs should be as good as you and me , maybe better than you

Yes obviously I am in Anarchy. i am nearly Deadly and with a higher Exploration rank. I am pledged to PP and in an Anarchy control system so should be seeing at least some Deadlies and Dangerous NPCs, but I am surrounded by harmless "hostile" enemies. Just took out a Viper with 3 missiles. Nothing more than "Competent" NPCs spawning. And they pose ZERO challenge to my Diamonback Scout, which thanks to the nerfed ENG capacitor now flies like an anchor.

But no worries there, the NPCs forgot how to fly.


The NPCs don't seem to care where I am anymore. They don't try to gain position. They just fly is loops in front of me again like in 2.0. There is no point to combat again. Combat ranks are once again meaningless. Combat is meaningless. That's 1/3 of the game gone in a single patch.

If you want to give feedback, hop on over to the proper thread and ask about the intended consequences of the, and I have to repeat the word here, considerations that are made towards AI. You are almost straight-out accusing Frontier of "dumbing down" the game, even though that's the polar opposite of their declared goal.

I'm so very very tired of the "git gud" crowd sitting in their Robigo-exploit-funded "endgame" ships crying over how easy the game has become and shouting down everyone else while there are (or now hopefully were) some very valid concerns over issues encountered by not so endowed people. Did you try hopping in a badly equipped Eagle with not too much experience and have some shooty fun? I'm sure the Master Viper talking to you through the business end of a Plasma Accelerator would like to tell you some things about "balancing" and a "fun experience".

In closing, I'd like to recommend you work on your phrasing or on your attitude.

I will remind you guys you have claimed FD have nerfed AI for some fourth update now :)

Change log so far mentions tuning some bugs and interdiction fixes. What else is there to claim there's huge AI nerf? I am afraid you are just acting pro actively about potential changes.
