Cruising around Ross 47; I've found mostly encoded emissions USSs, but I have found two Convoy threat 4s. Both USSs had three Type-9s with 1 vulture escort. The Type-9s were carrying food and medical supplies, the vulture was carrying 1 cargo of military plans. He retreated when I scanned him, low waking out. Comms were silent the whole time.

Ha ha. It took us three weeks to find an UA convoy. Then four UAs were found the same day.
Data from Biscuit Barrel events, suggest that Winging up increases the spawn rate of dificult signal sources. It worked with SSS, it may also work with Threath 4.
Nice work with finding the next piece of the puzzle and hitting thread 7! Unfortunately I can not assist with trying to get a hold of one as I dont have the ship nor the funds for combat. I wish you all the best of luck though, and I'm sure by the time I'm finished writing this post someone will have got an Unknown Probe to study

UPs are prohibited everywhere, even by anarchy factions. That is how we knew they existed to being with. The other item is a rare good I think.
We found it but it got destroyed. feds shot it before we could scoop it.
We weren't ready. Me and another commander, I took escort for me. just "I'm going to die, but I will hold them for as long as possible"
I survived with 8% hull, I was holding them for 10 minutes. Rest of the wing menaged to take care of UP but it got destroyed by another ship. We lost at least one commander in fight.
It was total .

I wanted to kiss my ship after that... almost all modules dead, thrusters went down like 5 times...
Condor wrecks (the small fighters that is, not Anacondas) are somewhat common since 2.1. I've been finding quite a few crashed Condors in the California nebula. Often with way more escape pods and cargo than could fit in one...
