Affirmative, I've still 4000LY out, heading towards Merope, I know where I was finding U/As with easy so will start there first and broaden my search,
Netslayer is currently getting an hour of clean audio for a UP planetside of merope 5c. I haven't seen it mentioned here but earlier in the day I believe someone tested the UP planetside on merope 5c and didn't think it pointed anywhere in particular.
When we have that audio I'm sure Net will post it here
We have tested a UP by an active barnacle and a dormant barnacle. We also tested a UP and a UA together next to a barnacle. Iso was streaming this but thats the only official video (Jarvis has some short clips of it however). I do have some nice pictures.

Is the head on the UA the same size as smaller head on the UP? Or is that just the angle of the screenshots?
The last two days I'm noticing a low rate of UA spawning in the shell. Before I just needed 1h to get 4 UAs, yesterday I spent 2h to find 2 UA, and today I'm still to get the first anomaly after 2h.. in the same systems.
If anyone else could verify, could be just me.
Im checking now in systems closer to Merope, maybe the shell is moving :?
Edit 2: nothing like writting in the forum about something not spawning to get the first spawn lmao

The small heads are the same size. They also both glow in the same spot when they do their respective "howl".
When i get my UP back, or if Pat lets me keep his, I'll hop over to Pleione and check it out. Then I'll probably head to jacques with MAs, a UA, and a UP.

As for UA and UP in space we have done that, though not for very long. Ecthelion has a vid posted on youtube. Also might be a link at the beginning of the thread.
Back when I was messing around with UA's I noticed that when you had one it would alternate two different whale song howls, but when you put two together one would do one howl and the other would do the other howl (you could tell which was howling from the head lighting up).
Would be interested to know if adding a UP to two UA's changes anything the UA's are doing.
Though really want to hear where the UP points if dropped in Pleione before anything else
Managd to finish surveying the barnies on Pleiades Sector JC-U b3-2 1 - so the Pleiades sector and most of the others are now done in time for tomorrow's powerplay and barnacle status update.

Interesting thing is that I was wrong earlier.. When I posted the bug report to say that all double barnacles had been fixed apart from the one in Witch Head and they replied that the Witch Head double barnacle was "working as intended" I hadn't finished surveying.

In fact we have a double barnacle still intact on JC-U b3-2 1 AND two NEW double barnacles there. By new I mean they used to be single barnacles. This is the first time we've seen a switch from single to double rather than from double to single..

- Length of 1 hr 45 seconds, ends on howl.
- 192000Hz sample rate
- 24 bit flac file
- Using Windows WASAPI (loopback) of in-game audio
- No audio interruption from menu or player activity.
- unfortunately planetary ambient sound could NOT be removed.
- But most musical elements have been through advanced settings.
- Began recording 5 seconds after drop.

and now add an improved picture of the symbol on the barnacle's head and we are set. because as of now i don't really see the barnacle symbol in it.
